I am willing in about a few weeks if (I really enjoy it) to get a nice mount but otherwise is this game a **without cash shop item you will be at a loss compared to those who have** or do you only need it to have neat additions such as mounts or homes?

umm kinda both? the most important item in the cash shop is the charms.

Everything has its beginnings, but it doesn't start at one. It starts long before that... The world is born From zero. The moment zero becomes one is the moment the world springs to life. One becomes 2. 2 becomes 10. 10 becomes 100. taking it all back to one solves nothing. so long as zero remains... One.. Will eventually grow to 100 again.

not really. the cool thign abotu this game is that you can actually trade in-game gold
for cash-shop gold which you can sue to buy stuff form the cat shop

however with the recent events gold prices have shot up
500k per gold(atleast on sanc) and it costs 5 gold for the cheapest mount

but still yes and no peopel who waste their money on this game are going to have an advantage because they'll have more money which makes it easier to attain better equips
but still you can still get awesome equips
you just have to work harder

    but anyways. can't get homes
the main things to get from the cash shop is clothes moutns and charms

no read my post CAN'T GET HOMES

as in they are not available in this game at all

and charms are well charms you equip
They automatically refill either health or magic
once it drops down to a certain point

they have an amount on them that goes down every time the charm "ticks"
    think a shortcut for auto-potion

clothes yes just for style making you're character look cool
basically another way to waste money

if you've ever played final fantasy XI they have something like it

anyways they're personal areas that a players can customize

They're available in the PWMY which is a p2p game

    think of it like this:
you character has 1500 Hit Points and you put on an HP charm. HP charms come in different amounts - the basic one giving something like 100,000 HP worth of heals. Every time your own HP reaches below 750 HP, your charm "ticks" and that much is deducted from the 100,000 and instantly restored to your own health bar. Once the supply of HP on the charm is gone - you must buy a new one (if you like them). I don't really like to have to baby sit charms with health potions and slower playing - so once i put one on, I do nothing but boss fights until its gone, since I can't take it back off once I put it on. Then I go back to grinding and/or normal questing.

OTOH, if you play PvP - you'll find that most of your opponents will likely be wearing a charm. That said, you'll find it most beneficial to be wearing one yourself. In PvE servers, cash shopping isn't as important as it is on PvP servers - where the players who throw the most money into the game have the best equipments and generally the upper hand (if they actually know how to play).

IMO MP charms are the most beneficial items in the boutique for all classes, rather than HP charms. No matter what class I play as - I burn through mana like no tomorrow. There's always self healing skills, buffs, clerics, etc.. to take care of HP needs as far as PvE is concerned. Territory wars are a whole different story though (again - this is PvP scenario).

2)get all the lunar and event gear from packs
3)Refine your lunar and event gears
    4)Equip a platinum charm

You're not allowed to post the name of other games in this forum. Also, this game isn't cash shop oriented. We have tons of fun events. I especially love the anniversary event. It's been going on for an extra two months now I think. Its EXTREMELY fun. You buy some gold, and (ready, this parts exciting) buy some anniversary packs from botique, and then open them!!! Oh, and you missed the halloween event. You bought some gold, and (ready, this parts exciting) buy some guardian scrolls from botique, and then traded them for halloween packs!!!!Oh, and then you opened them. This game hardly pays any attention to the cash shop. I have no idea how they pay to keep it running.

This game does not require people to pay real money to be successful. However, to get super awesome elite 1337 gear and an extremely high level there's a likely chance that one put some real money into the game.

So to a degree it's cash oriented, but if it weren't, there'd be no game.

I personally use the Cash Shop alot.. but 90 percent of what i get is charms, the other 10 percent usually is for other people, or items such as anni packs to get tokens and whatnot, there is a huge advantage to using the cs but if you dont, you will have to work alot harder

Nothing you buy from the cash shop is particularly vital. yes a CS mount is alot faster but you get a free flying mount at lvl30. Fashion imo is a pointless waste of coin with current gold prices. HP Charms only become important when you start doing the higher lvl dungeons and start meeting bosses with powerfull aoe attacks and debuffs. up until then items you craft with the apothecary skill are perfectly good. MP charms are never really needed as apoth items can more than make up for them.

i have yet to spend a sinlge penny on thsi game and i doubt i ever will

If u want to spend "Cash" on the game, The charms r great. Remeber, they have a 10 second cool down rate. Meaning, when u refill, u have 10 seconds before it refills again. What server r u on BtW?

Pvp is cashshop oriented. In fact ,if you want to be and stay competitive in pvp, PWi is one of the most expensive game on the market ( f2p or p2p).

Now it's up to you to decide if you really want to pay a Ferrari price for an old GM b:chuckle

    This isn't Final Fantasy XI.

The answer, despite your pervasive arguments, is still NO

VERY cash oriented, unfortunately. They care far more about adding sale after sale than fixing bugs and glitches which have been reported about for months.

Exactly, this game is NOTHING like FFXI (omg i miss that game omg omg omg omg *gasms*). You actually had to work for stuff in that game, and it seemed VERY rewarding, unlike PWI...

PWI is THE most expensive game out there, in my opinion. We have hundreds of dumb rich people spending $1000's a month on this ****, especially on the PvP servers. I mean its not dumb that they're cash shopping, its that some of them don't know what they're doing with the money they're spending (aka Nimhia on LC)

It is very possible to make money with out using real life money, just hard, tedious and very unrewarding. You'll farm your **** off for something that one can get with a few mouse clicks. It's kinda depressing and can give a lack of motivation after a while.

I personally don't use the cash shop and have above average gear, I've also been playing for a year and have resources...

I also know many people who have spent $1000-$2000 JUST to get by, level at a decent rate and have average gear, and afford charms. It's rather sad how expensive this game is just to get by at a good rate. If you dont care about pvp, looks, e-peen, the desire to be better, then this game not for you; you'll eventually want what everyone else has, spend money... and more money... ya <_<

If you don't pvp, then you can go along without using much cash shop items. But those who do will have many advantages over yourself.

LMAO boy you can sure tell which people have lives & social skills offline & those who do not by what they post/reply & how their over inflated egos choose to write said post... Play the game, find out for yourself... asking random nameless faceless strangers if a game is worth playing or is money orientated is like going to the pet store & asking the newborn puppies which one you'll love the most when it grows up... Even if EVERY single person on this string said they hated the game, maybe just maybe you'll still like it? Happened to me once... I reviewed & previed games for mags for over a decade... out of all that time I learned 1 thing over ALL else about games... games are as diverse & different as the many types of people who play them, make up your own mind, play a month & spend no money, see for yourself. Oh & there's A LOT more in the CS then just clothes & charms... funny how the people who act like they're superior can be so inept.
