Taming Question

I have a lvl 9 venomancer and have recently aqquired tame. What I have a question about is if the monster type affects your pets stats when tamed. In other words- if i tame a vericose scorpion with increased attack, will that reflect in its stats? Vice versa if the creature is "weak", will it be weak in its pet form?

    Nope. I wish it did though, an increased attack shaodu would be damn useful.
