Gold foil ????

So, I was on my new mount and accidentally fell down somewhere and saw a chest with some mobs guarding it.. I digged it and got 1 gold foil ??? What is it and what does it do ? And is this some sort of treasure or something ordinary ?

    guildmate of mine found one yesterday as well..... we all had no clue... but its gold... gold is shiny... so i would hang on to it :)

    Apparently, it is also useful for selling to other players who do not know it is useless. I see way too many cat shops selling this as if it were cash shop gold or something.

    yea, they'll sell it for 100k apiece, and put their catshop title as "Gold!" or something similar
