Unless it's just clearing a FB/BH cave or something, I find starting before the rest of the party (or at least the rest of the people that need him) get there is rude and a risk that they might not get the kill. At least if you help someone, help them right.
Of course you should always wait for the person/people who need the quest, but in my case the person who was upset wasn't the one that needed Gouf.

The person who was upset actually needed help with another quest, and Gouf just happened to be something somebody else in the party needed along the way.

I personally hate toying around in fb's. Especially players who insist on pulling one by one in fb's 19-51 and snap at me for being a "reckless BM" and tell me "I'm gonna get everyone killed" when I go for a simple aoe on a few phys mobs.

If you want a slow challenging fb or BH ask someone your level along and have all the fun you like. You'll have a great challenge, learn a lot and drops will be far better. Don't ask the 8x BM and expect him to babysit for 2 hours just to act as meatshield for your boss while you mess about playing pretend fb-pwner.

Sorry, but i've been in that situation when i was doing bh39 with 2 8x clerics b:surrender

Decided that it was boring halfway to farren, finished the bh, thanked them, then went back with another squad my level to have some fun.

Yeah I have that every now and then. Or the "No barb, WTF? Get a barb." But the most complains I have, when I'm forming teams and grabbing a few outside people 'cause I have spots free, is the drop rate. 'Cause molds don't drop often when you have a 87 in a 39 or a 51. To one of these guys I promptly told "if you don't like it, you can always leave and join another team." He stayed in the group and I barely heard him after...

The mobs I tend to pull, and that's in 69 and 79, are the ones who run (soris in 69, and those annoying archers in 79). Else, if I can rush the mobs and live, I will rush.

hehe reckless bm's, there is a ton of those.
BUT.. i trust a bm that knows to hit aoes, so it has agroes.
Its those reckless people that run into a group of mobs and dont aoe. Then when the cleric needs to heal, the cleric takes all adds and dies.

    On topic:

I do not condone the actions of the individual who complained but I completely understand his position…and I genuinely hope others will too.

I really see no point of even playing this game except for the fun and sense of accomplishment gained by overcoming challenges. Having a high level run you through an FB/BH with no opportunity to even participate however removes all these factors…there is no challenge and it is boring as hell.

Now don’t get me wrong, sometimes is it nice to have a quick run if one is in a hurry or you are doing BHxx for the hundredth time but otherwise, I generally cringle to see a high level join my squad…makes me want to put my character on “follow” and go AFK till its over.

More importantly, doing FB/BH where the mobs are stronger is one of the best opportunities for players to learn how to actually play their characters and function as a TEAM!!! I am no longer surprised to meet people that are 70+ that know nothing about teamwork or their characters as they have likely had high level faction members or friends do most of their runs for them.

The point of the matter….if a high level offers to help you, show some appreciation for their kindness. However, if you are the one offering to help, have the intelligence of the OP to understand why they may be reluctant or uninterested in your assistance.

yes, i can relate. my husband's FB today. my son had pulled in a ton of highlevel friends, and a veno with a herc...what was left for me to do? they were faster, stronger, with huge aoe moves. me, with my little golems, and one aoe that doesnt do spit...i was really hurting and humilated. i know my son hadnt intended that-he had wanted to make it safe and fast for his dad, but i was of no use, and it hurt. already been sick lately. so i didnt hadle it well....for the first time ever, i spooked out, and left squad. now im humilated that i did that

Mm. Two sides of the issue.. One, he's just butthurt because he wanted to be as useful as you. Two, there's more than one mob in the BH to fight at once, especially since you're an 8x Wiz, and since I can't even one-hit FB19 mobs yet (Barring sparks and genie amps, of course) I'm pretty sure you could just love-tap them and run by, let the others deal with the 50 HP remaining.

    Ehh.

If they want to run a BH with people of their lvl then they shouldn't have invited you, OR if that guy alone wanted that he should've left when you joined, not QQ about it afterwards.

Well, doing it and then saying "I didn't enjoy that, in future I'll stick with m own level" is good, too.

I'm also a crazy "Run in and kill everything" person now. I do make a point of reminding people that they'll have more fun with a proper-level squad.

    But there's something truly magical about a ten-minute fb39 run :)

haha, people keep saying how the high levels are taking their precious tome out of their lvling, bet if the low lvls want fun shouldnt higher lvls have fun too? i remember doing an fb19 run for the first time in ages at somewhere in 6x with 4 or 5 other 6x in squad. no one can deny its fun to just run through and pull an entire fb19, then aoe and watch the gigantic block of red numbers rise up. or aoeing the exploding mobs after the chicken in 39. last time i did that we had no cleric with us. it was rather amusing, but did involve a large amount of running away. b:chuckle

You dont want a high lvl to help you? fine, don't squad with them. Less time he/she is going to lose.

Really, if a player wants to enjoy it and be involved in the kills, why squadding with the high lvl? And not only that, he worries about everyone in the squad and wants a fast and smooth run and then you tell him that?

He (the OP), didnt need to do the dungeon and yet he did. He lost time and charm. There was no profit on it. Some ppl like helping out, we dont care about it. At least say ty and dont be a brat.

You want to try with ppl your lvl? Being hours there for a dailiy, pull a mob, attack, pull a mob, attack.... etc? Cool with me. Let me help my friend and gtfo of the squad plz.

Personnally, I prefer doing my fbs and bhs with people around my lvls or not too high than with people really high lvl that will run it for me and that ill get bored because im useless.

Edit: Camp #2 because its more fun =^.^=

+1. I prefer a squad of same levels. It's more fun and everyone has to know their job.

PS If you're on my regular BH/Boss squad: I love you guys/girls. You rock!

    Hello guys!

Today I helped with a BH39, when a friend of mine asked me to do it for them. Well, it was a fast run without deaths obviously. No big deal, considering my level. I did my best to make it fast, protected everyone when they got attacked etc. People where happy and said thank you after the run. All but one. He told me it was no fun running with me, I let no one attack and I was a show off.

I was rather bewildered after, because I obviously get his point. Of course there is no real sense in running a BH with a higher level considering fun and challenge. It is close to zero. But that's what people, including me, often want on lower levels. Running the same dungeon over and over again for experience can be quite boring. Plus BH39 really is the worst. Why else would there be people using wine in fbs? It kills fun if there are no mobs, doesn't it?

I absolutely understand if someone wants to run a BH with people his level, for challenge and fun. But can't he tell me before the run that I am not wanted? He then told me I should have let the others fight as well. But that's only possible if I hold back completly, use low damage spells and heal here and there. And honestly - There is enough questing and stuff I have to do as well. My BHs, WQ, Cube. I work all day, and I wanna get to 90+ as well. Don't get me wrong, I am happy to help my friends if they ask me, but I won't stick in an fb39 for 2 hours because some guy I don't even know wants to have his challenge.

I usually feel good after helping someone, but this time I was just puzzled and a bit frustrated, cause I used time, effort and charm ticks to help some people and was told "It was no fun with you" by one of them.

What do you think? Did you ever experience something similar?

I've been saying this for months. Let them work with their own lvl range. Lower lvls who ask obscenly high lvls to help with their low level stuff are just idiots robbing themselves of the experience.

When we were low lvl's there weren't high levels to go with (we found out the hard way doing TT/FB runs....squads whiped you know the drill). Nowedays people are becoming lazy.
