Genie bugged or not ?

So my genie is lvl 53, I got a quest from the watcher when I reached lvl 79 and used the exp cube she gave me. Before I used the cube I could always infuse my own exp/spirit, but ever since I used that cube I can only infuse with exp cubes.. Is that normal or am I screwed ?

have you checked the the state of the genie coz if its in trade ready you can only infuse with exp cubes while its in trade ready when its in non-trade it can use your exp and spirit to infuse so i advise you look at the genie state as that maybe the problem

Ah how silly of me, thank you It was in trade ready, I didn't realize it would limit my options of leveling my genie..
