Greetings.

I am brand new to Perfect World, as in, it is still patching...

I would like to know what server is less crowded, as a good economy and friendlier inhabitants towards us 'Noobs'.

I know, I know, these are questions that some might not be able to answer, however, It would be nice to know a general idea.

(Also, when I update the files, do I pick patch 1 or 2? I picked 1.)

Ah, yes, excuse me...I should have mentioned I am intrested in a PVE server only. This is, until, I get a better hold on the game and I feel more comfortable will I join a PVP server.

The least crowded PvE server is Dreamweaver, because it's the newest.

Not sure about economy or friendliness towards newbies though, I'm not on a server that can help you with that. I've never heard specifically of any economy being significantly better than another server's though.

Dreamweaver seems rather friendly towards newbies. There's at least 3 different factions in every starting area dedicated to leveling people up, and most of the people are rather nice. You lose a bit of support at around lvl 30, but the 30's tend to be quick for most people.

Economy-wise, forget it. We're bad. Horrible, actually. Most people learn how to either exploit or avoid it altogether. I'd probably suggest trying to find a home faction at around lvl 20, and just stick with them. A lot of people seem willing to cut deals with people inside their own factions.

Added Bonus to Dreamweaver: Most of the World Chatters are pretty friendly folks, and actually play the game. I've run across quite a number, and they're all reasonably leveled. Well...almost all of them.
I shall dominate the Dreamweaver server through the use of Baked goods...and only baked goods.^^[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

    Ah, I see.

Well, can you explain what you mean by 'home factions' and such? Is a faction, a guild? So, what about the Sanctuary server?

And, I know what PVE and PVP means, however, can someone explain please the difference in the servers here?

Taranta, mind if I borrow your signature, perhaps? I would like to support you in your movement!

Sanctuary is fairly noob friendly, lots of factions in the starter areas, and people are willing to at very least point you in the right direction.

Faction, guild, clan, whatever, its all the same thing.

The difference between PvP servers and PvE servers is this: on PvP servers, once you hit level 30, you are automatically in PK mode ALL THE TIME, and you can kill or be killed by whoever, whenever.
On PvE servers, once you reach level 30, you can turn on PK mode if you want to, and can only kill or be killed by other players in PK mode.

Yep, a faction's a guild. A home faction, at least to me, is one that you'd be willing to stick with until your endgame. It might be harder to find, simply because you have to find a group of people that you like playing with. It shouldn't take very long, because if you're willing to ask the faction recruiter about what they're all about, you can know if you'd want to join or not.

Go ahead and borrow away, Anzu. I'm glad to know that there is still a few people out there who don't consistently fall back on "leetspeak".

On the PvE servers, like Sanctuary or HT, you have the ability to choose to be in PvP mode whereas on the PvP servers like Lost City, once you hit L30 you're in perma PK mode.

Home faction is just a good faction that will take you in, help you out, and just generally take care of you. Sometimes they break up and move to other ones. Unless you really like it, you can hop to a bigger or better faction depending on what you're looking for. I adopt every faction I join as home, makes it really hard to leave.

The new one (Raging Tide). It's PvE and its economy should be more stable than what the other ones have.
