Princess of Moonlight

Ok I realize that not a lot of people will be able to help on this one, but I'd appreciate any and all feedback :)

Basically I'm just about done with my Chrono Quest. I got access to the Moonshade Desert, killed some mobs, went to past TT, picked the option to kill the princess, went to OHT, got the quest to kill her. And that's just the problem. The quest giver, Sage of Prophecy in Old Heavens Tear says that I cannot kill the princess but gives me the quest to kill her anyway. So I went to rebirth with a squad of 3 venos, an archer, a wizard and myself. DD-a-plenty. Got to the required spot, used the mirror, summoned the princess, started killing her, but she just keeps regenerating health.

After 10 minutes of her hp not moving an inch, I figured the Sage is right and it's just impossible to kill her. According to the pwdatabase though, she's just a normal boss mob and the next step after killing her is getting the final belt.

I tried trashing the quest and going back to past TT, but none of the NPCs or lanters in there have any quests.

So, does anyone know if it's possible to kill the Princess of Moonlight? If yes, how? >< If not, how am I supposed to finish the quest? Any and all feedback would be more than welcome.

Oh and if you trash the quest you get stuck with a copy of the moonshade mirror, which is unable to be trashed, sold, discarded and doesn't drop on death. Meaning that in theory you could fill up every single inventory spot with it. What the hell is up with that lol?

I killed Princess Of Moonlight in Delta, but I completed the run before. Then she didn't even regenerated& auras helped a lot. Maybe you should try that out. b:victory

I realize this thread is 1 month & 2 days old but its still relavant so i dont think it'd be considered a n.ecro.

    Anyhow, I took a wrong option and got stuck with the killing of the Princess of Moonlight in Rebirth Delta. However this leaves me with several questions still not answered on any threads;

    1) Where is the required spot, the "brilliant light"?
    2) Whats the best time to fight it?
    3) How difficult is it? I read above that it regens really fast while others said if you wait till clearing the whole rebirth it doesnt regen, but that was just guesswork. Any confirmation?

    Thanks for any answers b:thanks

I did this not to long ago with a squad who had chosen the rb version of the princess, you dont have to start an actual rb, but when you first enter, go straight out into the path past where the god's eye is, and keep to the right, there will be a room with a light-area ...thingie. xD that's where click on the mirror, and she spawns.

As for the regenerating hp thing the OP was talking about, i dont know. We had a barb tank ours. ( he was 95+ or so) And the thing about the rb version of the princess, is that she aoes b:surrender nothing BB cant help tho.

You didn't pick the wrong option, any of those options will still give you the 4th map belt.

    1) The brilliant light is in the area pass the god's eye, you run up the valley and it should be your first right
    2) There's no best time, just bring a squad that can tank the princess, she's a boss
    3) Difficulty is about the same as a TT boss, you don't have to start rebirth to fight the princess, they just made it so she's in the rebirth but you don't have to start it in order to fight her.

From what I have been told the Rebirth option has been glitched for a while now. You really need to do the TT secret room to get the 4th map belt.
I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.

Not sure if this works, but if it does you had the 3 worst venos in your squad ninnuam.

The venos have a curse skill that prevents regneration for 30 seconds, with a cooldown of 30 seconds. Thing to watch out for, is the target can only have one curse on it at a time. So anyone tossing amp damage should be beaten with a rolled up newspaper.

This is if it is actually regenerating, and not just healing. Seems worth a shot at least, to see if that skill is useful without the celestial adds.
Fist are the worst at PvP AND PvE, if you disagree, as I said, take it to PM's or make your own guide. Go here if you want to debate about it. - Lyndura

Get a High lvl Fist warrior use it, Restat to axes. GG - complexx

I heard you needed UntamedChaos in your squad to 1 hit it, unfortunately he requires a fee of 5 mil, your first born child, and 32 packets of Arby's Sauce

Thanks Kasumi, (and all other contributers) her info was the most accurate. Figured i'd write a followup final post after having now completed it.

Just as everyone mentioned, Rebirth doesnt have to be started to do the boss. I brought in a squad (heavy on Barbs, no specific reason, just happened to be who was available), non-rainbow, and we found the brilliant lights at the 1st right as mentioned. I popped it and the Princess of Moonlight jumped out. It did not have any crazy regen as the OP had mentioned, nor was it glitched as another poster mentioned. It did however have 7.2 million HP (a bit easier to track now with HP written as text in the bars). The cleric basically BB'ed the entire long fight. It wasnt hard but did take a long time to kill with a squad of 6, of which 3 were barbs. Another poster mentioned waiting till the entire Rebirth was complete, while the Auras would have indeed helped, the effort of finding a rebirth squad & completing it & then motivating them to help me for another boss afterwards would have been alot worse then simply avoiding the actual rebirth run.

On a final note, one of the barbs had done the TT version of the Princess of Moonlight. He said that version was alot crazier. So take your pick, the TT version is harder, but only 1 time spent searching for a squad, probably the better choice. But this boss was the easier between the two versions.

Anyhow, thats my final synopsis, to help anyone who searches for an answer about doing this fight if they get stuck with it.

He must've chosen the harder version in HH, then. My herc tanked the HH boss & with a party of DD's, took 7mins total.
