Classes gender locked?

I'm downloading the game, and was wondering if the classes are gender locked? So if I wanted to be a archer can I be male?

    Yes, you can be a male archer.

    The only classes which are gender locked are Barbarian (Untamed, male) and Venomancer (Untamed, female, and the only class that can tame pets).

    a bit funny that those classes are locked. some people think that most veno's are infact men and i know a few girls being barbs.

    maybe its just me who wants a male veno or a female barb. meh probably wont happen and the gender confusion of the person who you are talking to shall continue.

    It's mainly because in the description, venomancers are supposed to be sex seductors while barbs are giants with the crushing power of doom and death?
