PvP server vs PvE server

honestly im just ranting about it but why every time i see a pvp server member comment on a pve server members forum post is it that they allof a suddne think the pve member cant pvp just as well it makes o sense as for one thing your not limited to the one server and for another you canpk in a pve server its just that you get the choice do it whenyou feel like it not all the time so not saying one server is better than the other just wish people werent so stupid in their comments about one server being weak because its pve if you think they really cant do anything try it before you act all high and mighty its really annoying when you showoff your ignorance.

The reason for that is 'some' PVP server members are children who haven't grown up enough yet to realize that some things don't change regardless of where you are.

Just remember that when you see those types of posts, that the ones posting that have yet to hit puberty and actually 'get' a clue.

plus i bet atleast 40% if not even more of players on each server didnt even know what is ''pvp'' or ''pve'',

It's true, you would be amazed at the amount of people on pvp servers who are completely surprised and taken aback when I kill them.

Truly most pvp servers the players end up trying to hide in GV FB and BH's, there's very few people who actually want to fight and it's because Charm costs, guardian scroll costs are so expensive. It really ruins a lot of potential that PW could have.

I almost passed out reading the above mentioned when there were no commas or periods to be able to take a breathe.

About the PvP thing, who really knows who is the best PvP server but I am willing to bet Lost City is the best PK ganking server.

is this the "i forgot how to use basic punctuation" thread or what? truth be told, PVP server players will always know more about pvp than you. when you PK, its the same old song and dance, as the ones who PVP generallly are regulars to it, its easy to assign a strategy to them, and when/where to apply it.

PVP server = you never know when some idiot is going to randomly decide to attack you, that whole element of surprise > PVE servers. yes, they can have a better way about going at it when talking to you, but just remember, unless youve played one of the servers, youre as ignorant as you call them. you dont know jack about real pvp.

you've obviously never stepped foot in a pvp server. Sure there are some people that kill lowbies, but most kill our level or higher.

Also, since you're also generalizing, ill generalize towards your pve server:

pve servers spend all of their low levels blue name, and once they get high enough to actually know how to pk, they do so. *thats why people the same level are fighting each other on pve servers, they spend their squishy levels avoiding pvp situations, therefore lacking exp to survive a high level atatck*

I know that isnt true, but its a generalization. Its not about the levels you fight. Its about knowing what to do under any situation. Hell when i was in my 60s-70s i survived many attacks from 80s and even beat some depending on class.

So in conclusion. Pvp servers are more experienced at pvp, ironic how that works huh?

Edit: I'm not saying PvE servers are "bad" at pvp. Just saying overall: if you put 10 random 9x's form a pvp server vs 10 random 9x's from a pve server. The pvp side would be still standing due to sheer experience from dealing with pvp everyday, instead of choosing "when your ready" to pvp.

^this. The only opinion I get about PvE servers is from what they say on the forums. A majority of the time they make it sound like EVERY1 sucks, so thats what I base it on. I'm sure there are exceptions, I mean there are alot of people that can't play their class on LC either.. but I could only assume a PvE server would be worse

actually u dont learn much when a high lvl kill a lowbie... it usually last 1-2 sec... 1-2 shots...wat 'sheer experience' dyu get from that? learn how to die? b:bye

you learn what their attacks do, and what to do to avoid them *if u can*

also yes there be alot of mindless people who suck too hard which forces them to pvp people 20-50 levels lower then them.
But me can say the same thing for PvE servers. Most of you guys have no idea what you guys are talking about when you discuss PvP servers. QQ just because you made a level 30 character on a PvP server and got owned since you don't know how to walk around/avoid people....you assume that PvP server are always like that even at higher levels...well you be wrong.

I love how people judge and generalize an entire server by the people who post on forums or biased opinions. (Considering the ratio of people who play to people who post here)
Seriously, this is why most people dont even bother arguing with the nonsense on here. If you were to place the people from PVE servers on a PVP server, it would make them blood thirsty maniacs who pick on lvl30's, would it not? They too are players of this game, which are all real people.

Thinking that the average age of the player base in a PVE server is higher than a PVP server is clearly a demonstration of ignorance and intransigence. Some people are just stuck in this tunnel vision of theirs that they dont even let themselves absorb any information from any other source besides themselves and are so self indulged that they would argue that their opinions are facts.

I never stayed long enough to figure it out. I got up to lvl 40 on a PvP and got tired of the lvl6X's and 7X's PK squads camping out near hidden orchid. I guess it's fun to have part of the squad near the questing area and the other part of the squad on the border of the safe zone killing the same toons again.

Either way, rather than worry about it, I re-rolled on a PvP server and never looked back.

But I agree that it's not the majority of higher lvls killing lvl 30's...it's a small minority that don't have anything better to do. One can't level by just PKing, as far as I know.

you are so right about some people not knowing the difference ....when i first came, i didnt, and LC was the first server listed, so thats where i started playing. what a disaster! i didnt learn the difference until my veno was in her early 30s, and that there was no way to keep her from being killed constantly. so i had to essentially throw away all that work, and moved to HT.

The worst offenders on both sides are the people that only play a PvE server, or a PvP server. The PvP players believe that they have more/better PvP experience because of not having an option to turn off PK mode, and the PvE players think that all PvP servers are just level 90s ganking level 30s.

I just honestly cannot see how you could possibly PK on a PvE server without being at least 8x and good gear. It would seem like that people wouldn't go into PK mode unless they knew they had a good chance at surviving most of the time, and if they did the high levels would just PK them, the same as in PvP servers. Except they have less targets to pick from, so it might be worse...b:surrender

I have a low level alt on HT, but I can't really focus on more than one character at a time so I gave it up to focus on my cleric. Besides, I felt like I had nothing to look forward to b:surrender

at the time i was on LC, RQ and other such guilds had KOSs out on both venos and clerics, and were very open about it. they viewed it as preventing the players from leveling to a point to give them trouble/competion.


so, yes, it was very true that areas like SP were staked out by high levels (high enough to never worry about retaliation) who were there for the sole purpose of killing lowbies, especially clerics and venos.

first thing u have to said is that on that game:
NO DEATH PENALTIES (xp and drops) > getting PK is just a matter of time spent to return where u were initially


then u must say also there were conditions for PKing:

WHITE NAMED > neutral like our blue named, can be pked at any time > if u kill a WHITE u get RED
PURPLE NAMED > into pk mode, this state activate asa u HIT a player > is legal to kill PURPLE
RED NAMED > murderer player that have killed a player that didnt fights back(WHITE NAME)

u could attack who you want but u were getting penalties if ud PK unfair > kill a white named

PKING unfair is when ur high level and kill low level, the lower level shouldt be capable to defend himself so
if u kill some1 who didnt fight back u get RED NAMED

this penalties (have a RED-NAME) made IMPOSSIBLE to TELEPORT, getting into instances and talk to NPCs

RED-NAMED can be killed freely without getting any penalties (legit revenge)

if u were red-name u had a number of IP based on how many player u murdered (100 for each player who didnt fight back)
during this RED NAMED periods u couldnt use TELEPORT so u would have walk all the way to ur goal or wait to ruturn WHITE.
the jails were used to lose IP (the more IP the more u stay RED NAMED)
getting killed make u lost 3 ip, so there were even naked-rednamed on theyr knees begging for a kill, to manage to enter the apply-timed event instance


the difference with PW is all about PK rule
there are no pk rule outside a safe-area
no matter who u pk, u can do it...
just if u push yourself too much in it u can risk to get vulnerable

but no1 can tell if u legal PK for fun, or just PK lowbies for boredom

and this kinda suck...b:cry

im not so used in PK yet (care. server), just tried few times on some bragging @ss, and with some rednamed
