Wings, to be shown or not!

Being an elf archer (on my main) i wish sometimes that i had the options to always display my wings, just in a curled up none flying state.

I know there has to be plenty of archers/clerics out there that feel the same way.

MY REASONS FOR SAYING , "THIS SHOULD BE ADDED!"

Venos get tails/ears/w\ev they come with now-a-days.

Helmets are going to be added into the game soon, (with the option to be shown or not). Along with fashion headgear.

Why not add the wings in?

ALSO, to keep EVERYONE happy in this mix turning off customizations will disable seeing other peoples wings.

(I failed and posted this in the wizard section at first, so mod please go delete that? LOL)

    Would for sure love the options to show our wings, then unless swords or beasts theyre actaully parts of elves bodies :D

    As far as wings, they'd be nice but with the bigger ones, it would majorly add to lag b:surrender

    Yeah that's pretty much what I meant. As long as turning off customizations kills the wings as well, I could live with it.

    this is a bad idea would cause major lag look at all the lag we got from the genies think if the wings showed it would be hell.

    Well of course the only reasonable thing to do would be to buy a brand spankin new computer with enough power to run. Seeing other peoples wings is essential to their ego, please learn to live with it.

    I would like them. Just add a 'view wings' option in the UI-- simple as that. I mean, the race is named 'Winged Elf'. I probably wouldn't use it on my cleric myself (just... wouldn't) but it would be cool to have the option. A little bit of customization.

    Hello. I voted no. I do think it would be nice graphically and a neat option or to have my eagle wings show as white because I like the white wings however they use MP and my recovery is not high enough to wear them.

    The reason i voted against this option to show your wings while not in use is merely for graphical reasons. In my opinion there are a lot of people on mounts an such which causes a lot of graphical lag as it is. Add in 25 pairs of elf wings and it will be worse. Even if the minimal graphical settings are used lag is rampant enough. I have custom built my machine with some of the latest technologies and this is still problematic for me.

    In addition to that, I believe the developers would not support it even with 500 yes votes. Unfortunately there is seemingly a lot of other basic game functionality that does not work properly or not as well as it should. Problems in FB's. Collision maps, Problems with the cube and various other areas of the game. PWI tends to focus on issues that prevent or severely effect and hinder normal game play and adding new content to enhance gameplay itself that generates cash flow into their business.

    So in conclusion: I voted no, not because it not a good idea or that it is not cool. I voted no because I think it would cause more graphical lag, The majority of users are not using machines with updated hardware that can minimize this lag effect and I do not believe the development team would implement the feature even if a large number of users vote yes, I think I would like to see other basic functionality in the game fixed first before new things are added.

    Although I realize you have suggested that an option be implemented to disable viewing this ( Other people's wings), I would still rather other areas of the game be improved before seeing this change. Seeing at a later date would be nice when the major and minor "bugs" are resolved first. My vote is a no at this time, not a no to never be added. I believe there are other things in the game which are more important to fix than adding this right now.

    Thank you for making this thread it's neat idea and it would be cool.

    I would like to be able to have my wings out more often, but as previously stated there needs to be a UI to turn them off. (along with UI to turn off genies-randomsidenote-)
    Allowing untamed flying mounts to doddle through town after them? I think I have enough trouble with all those quivering veno tails, at least wings don't move. I can't count how many times I've stood around saying "Get your fat ****ing pet of the ****ing shop kitty OI." at my screen in archo when there's an untamed on their flyer. @_@;;

    Yeah...mine's all fat too...I think his backfat ate some of my drops on at least more than one occasion.

    Maybe I should poke around back there with a staff, see what pops out...

    Lol @ the other classes saying no because it wouldnt work on them (well it would work for human class ie: sword strapped to back)

    Can you imagine a veno lugging around a huge net with a manta-ray thats twice the size of the hornska lord?

    i've always been thinking about it but , looking at how they answer our calls and just put in new stuff to make em earn more money in stead of fixing existing things (they do fix things sometimes but hey i'm complaining)

    so i just never felt like putting down the idea lol alot of ppl would like to see that tho :p

    same for wielding weapons , when not wielding u carry it on yr back maybe option for cape etc too (if running around in armor)

    these are some cool add-ons ^_^
