Problem Installing Client

Example: For the first 4 minutes the downloader will be at

85.88mb / 1626.53mb
7:24h left at 60.2K***

The problem is, that after about 3 minutes, the 60.2K starts to decrease and the download literally comes to a complete halt.

The only way I'm able to get it running again is by pressing 'Cancel' and then 'Resume Game Download Later'. Then I reopen it, and it happens again. It's extremely annoying, and I'm unsure as to what the problem could be.

Downloaders always tend to work a bit slower than they say at first. It's possible that if your download is that slow, though, that you simply don't have enough bandwidth. Try closing down all browser windows, stopping all processes that require bandwidth (including things like AIM, Skype, Windows Live, updates etc), turning off all other computers you may have in the house and scanning your computer for adware and malware that could be eating at your bandwidth.

If it's not this, then perhaps you're trying to download the client at a very busy server time. It's Saturday after all, a lot of people are using the Internet on your service provider. Possibly if you try again on a weekday during the late night-time or work hours it will be faster.

And if nothing else works... well, maybe you might like to look for a better service provider. :S Sorry that I can't be a little more help than this.


Oh, and on second thoughts-- do you have any friends/relatives with better bandwidth than you that you could ask for a favour in return for a big box of chocolate and everlasting gratitude? xD You might just be able to ask them to download it onto a CD or memory stick for you.
