I'm lvl61, Arcane, pure-mag built cleric. With my gear on, atm I've got:

Vit:8
Mag:288
Dex:9
Str:34
and 10 unused points

I've got 1725 hp and 5887 mp... I was planning on going as a pure-mag build until the end, but now im wondering if its best to start putting in Vit now? i wanna know from 'pro' clerics, how much vit do you have? XD
and also, how much hp/def per vit do I get?

I really dont want to go LA, because it means cutting my atk dmg, unless thats the best thing to do.. =/

BTW i havent touched my vit, the extra 3 points comes from my gear lol. But 1725 hp... is that really low for someone of my lvl and build? =_=

At lvl 75, with minimal refines, my gear gives me about 760 hp (2040 hp goes up to 2800). I have 58 base vit (capping at 60), which gear brings up to 84. Up till 6x, full mag is a very effective way to build your cleric, but if you plan to do squad based activities (Twilight Temple and such) a decent amount of HP is recommended. I have yet to do a rebirth, so I'll let others comment on the required HP for that instance.

I personally was full mag (9 mag 1 str) up till 55. At that point I started adding a lot of vit (about 8 vit 1 mag 1 str) up till the point I am at now. I would occasionally add more mag, but mostly vit. I also started sharding my gear with citrines and trying to find gear with +vit/hp on it. All in all I am now lvl75 with 2800 HP unbuffed (3600 buffed) which is plenty enough to keep me alive in any aoe I have encountered thus far (done up though 2-2 and 1-3).

As for hp/def per vit point, each point gives you 10 hp and a very small amount of mag and phys def (fairly negligible for me).

I am sure others will comment, but this is how I feel. And it works quite well for me.
If you need to tell someone you how pro you are, you are not pro. Your reputation and skills should speak for you.
-adaptation of one of the many quotes I love

Favorite opening line when entering a squad:
"Hi. So, am I the tank?"

BMs are probably my favorite dds around. They aren't squishy, usually respect and protect the cleric, and in spite of the seemingly constant suicidal impulses, don't get me killed very often.

If you ever plan on doing bosses like soulbanisher or gaurnob who have punishing phys aoe, empty points into vit and just re-stat when decent refines/sharding (+5 and above /flawless and above) are most sensible. (80+)

It is not smart as a cleric to go all-out magic (with only str for gear) as you'll simply have a significantly tougher chance of surviving, in some cases, zero chance. As it is, clerics will do a ****-ton of dmg as an arcane vit so there's no need to go overkill.

One suggestion, watch your ornaments. When planing on doing TT or such, you should have p.def ornaments. They do wonders vs high hitting psy AoE's.

I would say stay full Int untill you hit 90, so you can grind and level really quickly - more damage against mobs = faster kills = more exp. Then once you get 90 and get your 90 gear, restat out to min mag full vit and refine your weapon to at least +6. Also make sure you get decent pdef ornaments with a good refine when you get to 90 - Sky Demons Pearl/ Bijou - and Past Belts should be good enough. Then depending on how you want to be, shard your gear with pdef or hp.

Usually clerics restart to full mag 90+.

I would think that doing this would severly gimp your attack no?

Id see a reason to do this for situations like TW to survive while healing the cata puller, but in pvp id think this would make it so you cant kill anything.

*not bashing the build, just curious how it would work with min. mag*

I have lvl 83 full VIT cleric in other server. My weapon is green dusk +2 (that with -channel and +HP) with one Magic attack gem +7.

My plume shot and great cyclone hits 5000-6500 (+-) in mobs of same lvl. I think the damage is decent, and is more easy/cheap to have a TOP weapon than a TOP full set (robe, bracers, etc...)

Dead clerics cant kill anything. Survive is important.

im not talking about mobs, im talking about pvp.

Clerics that cant kill are just punching bags.

    *btw wth is green dusk?*

In pvp depends, because have a variety of opponents builds and class. But my base magic attack is a little more 4000, just do the calcs. Is the same base damage of a LA cleric.

But i will only spend hard in my weapon at the lvl 9X+.

Green dusk is the twilight green magical sword (for lvl 80).
