Luper's Ridiculous guide for venos

Not one single shred of this guide is accurate, to the fullest extent of my knowledge. Please, please, please put on your reading glasses and read this fine print before following any of the suggestions here. Actually, don't follow any of these suggestions, they are very bad ideas!

Tips on having the best, coolest, most respected venomancer (or mancers, as they are commonly referred to in the game) ever:

1. The majority of mancers wear heavy armor. You will want to put as many stat points into dex and str in order to use heavy armor that is at your level. At higher levels, you will notice players wearing fashion. This is because fashion is more powerful than most armor, due to it looking better and more contemporary than the armor. Get fashion as soon as possible.

2. The higher level the pet, the better it will be. Do you really want to keep using that wolfkin or scorpion you get at the beginning? As you level, you will want to tame more and more powerful pets, leaving your obsolete pets behind. Also, if you tame a mob that has an "increased attack" affect on it, that affect will carry over to the pet once it is tamed. Always try to tame a mob that has "Increased Life" or "Increased Defense" under it's name.

3. Mancers are amazing in pvp! Since most pvp occurs in the water, you will want a very powerful water-type pet. Most other players will focus on your pet before coming after you, giving you time to use your most powerful skill, frost scarab, against them. Frost scarab hits for triple the amount in water and freezes the target for several minutes, even after death.

4. Posing is vital to your playing ability. Press "E" in game to access the posing screen. It is very important to strike poses in the very heat of battle, and hot-keying several affective poses is advised. Posing not only serves to aggravate enemy players and mobs, but also displays physical prowess and helps attract a spouse.

5. Mancers are extremely important to squads in PWI. They're not called the "Queens of Battle" just because they're a bunch of men forced to play female characters. When in a squad, your team members will expect you to change into fox form and lead the charge against several mobs at once. Don't be afraid to just charge right in there with your pet and start mixing it up, that's why you have summer sprint and can run faster than the others!

6. Bramble guard reflects 100% of all melee damage back against the attacker, essentially making you immortal while it is activated. Nuff said.

7. The colored symbol beside many mobs' names represents it tamable level. Green means the pet will be a sissy, yellow means it will be okay, and red means that it will be very good. It may take a few times, but once you tame a red, it will all be worth it. The large mobs with silver symbols next to their names means these make very fashionable pets, and we know how important fashion is to this game (refer to tip #1). Tame these large pets as soon as you find them!

8. You may notice others riding around on flying manta rays and sword surfboards. These flying mounts (or scooters as most players call them) are awarded in a quest that you are given as soon as you are cool enough. Once you have used enough poses and worn the right amount of fashion, a quest will appear and the type of scooter you recieve is dependant on how well you have coordinated colors in your fashion. I told you fashion was very important to this game, didn't I?

9. Lastly, a large army of fresh pets is recommended over using just one or two pets exclusively. Others look down on mancers that only have 2 pets like Puritans look down on prostitutes. Having a lot of poorly leveled pets with no investments in skills shows extravagance, and builds up points toward getting a cool scooter. It makes sense. Instead of having to revive a pet every time it dies, wouldn't it be better to just have a lot of spares?

If you have anymore suggestions on how to make a super-cool, smexy mancer, please add your ideas despite the fact that they will most certainly be too dumb to mention and I will probably have to take them off.

Oh, and please read the small print at the top of the guide if you have not already done so!

Awesome guide! I followed your guide and made the ultimate veno. With my trusty low-level Jaden Qingfu, I am even able to solo most world bosses. I can't wait for your next guide: The Arcane Barb!

This guide helped me finally understand how to play my veno properly.

Now, thanks to my fashion and army of level 24 pets, I can solo harpy wraith without even having a charm tick!

Your thread isn't complete! You forgot to add in that dual swords or bows are the mancer's best choice of weapon for fox form. Spears work best with human form to help increase the distance of our skills and also look the most intimidating.

You need to also add on accuracy shards for your spear if you're a human mancer so your skills will never miss. If you're a fox veno, magic attack shards will be best to compliment your phyiscal damage, that's a pew pew combo of nukage in pvp.

Evasion shards are a must for your armour aswell. Those + your 100% return melee damage skill will make you practically invincible. Strike your pose, summon your coolest pet and make your enemies wet themselves in your presence!

Remember, the cooler looking the pet, the more powerful it is!

Sadly some squads of lower levels that I party with expect me to do this. Even had a barb expect me to do it...

I do that all the time. It's fun. I just defend it by saying something like, my pet gets a bigger stat bonus when it sees I'm also willing to tank mobs.

But really pro players will diversify and mix both Heavy and Light armour. People you know you mean business when you spend that extra 0.5 DEX per level.

This is awesome. I love it. xD

10- As you followed wisely all previous advices you are now the uber-killa mancer and the one who is going to save the day.
Barb are squishy on bosses we all know it: see they HP going down like mad... spam skills as much as you can to steal boss from them as you are better...

Also never spark the barb as he would keep aggro and die (squishy barbs...), spark the wizard :)

11- Make sure you Bramble the cleric and the wizard as soon as it wears off as well, especially before you spark the wizzy :)

12- Allow Wizards only to take aggro from you, but make sure you bramble first; then step back and watch how bramble is best skill ever..

(added a few if I may)

    Sharding.

Putting gems into your fashion is, of course, vitally important. And co-ordinating with your element is important to rack up the uber-bonus quickly.

And here's a tip! Most of your spells are, of course, wood-based - so the easiest thing to do is to shard aquamarine gems. (Beautiful ones, naturally, for the most beauty)

However, then you have the problem that you won't stand out from the crowd as much. Amethyst (for your frost scarab, your main attack) works too - but may I suggest rubies? You can max out your blazing scarab for a fire attack, and who doesn't like to leave a lasting impression?

Bow-fox-mancers are arguably the best melee DD build in game. Also because it gains this super incredible amount of hax defense, it makes you a better all round tank than a barb. (Sorry barbs :3)

Bows will allow foxmancer's melee DD range to increase up to 20 metres, something like an archer! Pumped up with dex, you'll crit like an archer on crack too. Now foxmancer newbs are probably going "but I cant equip my bow in fox form or human before I switch D:" That's simply because your uber-bonus isn't high enough yet. Check Vitenka's post for info on how to level this up.

When you're uber-bonus is high, rules don't apply to you.
Now, to be good bow-fox-mancer-tank-DD-nuker you need a couple things.
First of all, a bow. A bow with -% channeling is ideal, this means you'll hit much faster. It takes about a second to fire an arrow, so whatever % you can get to reduce this is best.

Second of all, aggro skills. Well you don't have any but if you manage to hit the boss in his eye he won't be changing his aggro off you, you just need a good aim which you would get from dex. Oh, like I said before you need magic shards on your bow. It dosen't matter which kind specifically but saphires are all rounders. Since you're melee, magic shards will allow you to deal significant magic damage aswell. This makes you a formidable foe in pvp.

You'll need to deck out your fashion with evasion bonuses/shards and -%channeling.
Oh yeah, you have absolutly no need for MP so don't level it up. You shouldn't really need pets for a build like this but they'll still help you rack up your uber bonus if they're cool looking and sharded in coordination with your fashion.

Evasion shards are a must for your armour as well.

*cough* Actually, Rei, you're right. I shard all my armor with Evasion. There's a reason we have Befuddling Mist, after all. And as to the OP's post... She did get something right. About charging forward in Fox Form... Weaker FBs? I do it alllllllll the time.

Now, back to the original topic. In order to have the most powerful Veno, YOU MUST BE A BUNNY. No exceptions. The most respected, and powerful creature in the world is a bunny. Look at all the examples in our modern lives. People dress up like bunnies, make comparisons to doing something "Like a Rabbit". We are the Queens of the Veno world.b:victory

Lol, I'm laughing at my gf's face reading this guide.

I luv ya when u spam.

A HA dex made veno can also use fists/claws. so she could solo HH/TT bosses *_*
With a ranged weapon it's hard solo.
But remember, ur pet is the dd, and u're the tank in TTs.

    *_*
if u wanna a ranged DD, u could use an eldergoth (that silly brown thing) or a cactus (bubbly green thing). they could dd staying out of aoes :P

Well gosh, it's been so long since I saw this thread - there's so many changes to discuss!

The biggest, of course, is the new tideborn! With their arrival, investing in the swimming mastery skill becomes vital - and they introduce several new pets. Be sure to choose the smallest one, you'll see why in a moment!

The palace of nirvana has introduced a weapons upgrade system which allows you to change a weapon into one that's even more sparkly - and it allows you to keep your gems!

So - what gems are worth putting into it before you do?
The "Eye of Dragon", "Eye of Tiger" and "Thrill of Fight" are, of course, in high demand - but can only be obtained by hunting (solo) Jewelscalen (the pimp-dragon, always popular when looking for high-end jewels) Pumot (who is, of course, actually a spotty-cat and not a tiger at all) and the last can be acquired only by performing duels in which your opponents weapon shatters. (The new replacement for the durability repair system)

But! A tip for you! The absolute best gems - a "Hyper-Experience"! Can be acquired through lucky coral - but your beauty bonus will need to be astonishingly high to be lucky enough!

There are so many other things to explore in your perfect worls - so I guess I'll sign off here with todays fashion tips:
Bazubands are hot, the Volcanic Ambassador is always an acceptable pet at the best parties, and rough amber gems are a lot shinier than their price would suggest...

    Happy beauty-bonus huntin; mancers!
