What is the Dominating Class for PVP?

I was told Archers are one of the strongest PVP Characters? I made myself a archer with is right now level 54 and is so far critting like 8k on monsters all the time. Is this good for a lvl 54 with okay gear? And should i stick with all Dex and a few points here and there in strength?

    Wizards dominate end-game. Archers dominate early to mid-game.

    Nix dominates until servers have average refines of probably +10.

    And general consensus is 4dex/1str every level, or your level+4 str, rest in dex for simplicity.

    I find PvP easier with my 6x veno w/nix than my 8x archer.

    It sucks.

    but veno's with fleash ream and the dmg from ream not being affected by the 1/4 dmg in pvp kinda does that. and in pk pets are great cause the moment the pet hits all they see is the pet which they cant kill rather than the veno which they can. it makes it alot harder but if ur not LA or HA and the archer jumps you ur dead but that requires the archer to see first and that's for nix'd veno's which are expencive (sawfly second to nix) but hey that's how it goes and this convo could go on endlessly but lets leave it at that.

    on topic: archers are a strong contender for pvp. when fighting a bm they cant really use alter marrow on you (other then TT90 and alter magic sage with good to decent gear) alter phys you lightning them (lightning anyway unless they alter magic) and deadly shot ect on alter magical. but they got high life so nuke them hard and try to aim low or stuning arrow whenever their will of the bodhi wears off and just nuke them to all hell. barbs aim low and lightning sparked lightning if you can cause their life is insane. robe clerics deadly and the job is done unless plume shell is up. same with robe wizard if you get the jump otherwise if they jump you it's the same but they nuke first so all you can pray for is to live through it and get stuning arrow off. veno's i've already put my 2 cents for the main of that. overall every character is good in pvp/pk used right the dmg of archers just makes pk easier for them cause they hit so hard and have both magic and phys dmg. let a bm get close and stunlock you or a wizie hit you more than twice (first will kill or tick heiro most likely) or let a cleric put you to sleep and sparked ele res lowerd temp you. well their all the same hope you dont die in a shot or two and stun them get some distance and aim low. cause your range is superior to even wizard spells

    ps: sry for the wall of text but that's my 2 cents of a GENERAL pk and not +7/10 gear.

    Go reroll. Archers are one of the worst at end game unless you throw refines in and that goes for everyone.

    Well at my level (49 right now) I can proudly say that I rock all classes except sin. But I know that is bound to change.

    But I am assuming you are asking about end game?

    This is a COMPLEX question...

    Well I think that EVERY class has its ups/downs...example Assasins are possible the BEST robe/LA killers but when it comes to HA (Barb/BM/HA Veno) they have a handful (one might say they bit of more than they can chew)

    Truly the only one class I can think of as being OP would be HA/Arcane+critines/LA veno with Nix as their Bleeding capability is OMG RUN.

    Although the Nix is OP (IN THE RIGHT HANDS) I think an assasin maybe its true opponent as it can dissappear and go straight for veno, if heavy...get RID of Nix first!!! (easier said then done lol)

    To conclude for now I think that Veno w/ Nix, and assasin are possible the 2 best PKers/PvPers

    i used to think archer was the dominating pvp class. but now my archer being almost 80 and can only beat clerics b:sad

    Honestly? I have no trouble with any of the classes except for sins. And archers shine early because we can quickly deal magic and physical damage. But we don't become worse later, it just gets trickier and you need to use your brain.

    brain won't help you when a wizard/cleric after 95 will just debuff and 1 shot you.
    What helps, really, is heavy refine. You don't have that or don't plan to have at least +5 all over your gear (+7 recommended for gear and + 8 minimum for Lunar bow) just roll something else, you will be severely disappointed.
