Well let's hope we the poor players can actually afford a charm .................................................................................................................. without having to reach in the backPoket..
You're aware that during the event, a non-cash shopper could get hp/mp regen for cheaper than a charm?

At a 17k token price, you could get herb yuanxiao (restores 5k mana in 15 sec) for 1k coin. That's 5 mana per coin. A gold spirit charm gives 900k mana. At 5 mana per coin, it would have to cost 180k or less to be cost-competitive with yuanxiao.

The crab jiaozi was not as good. 3500 hp in 15 sec, and at a 17k token price it cost about 3k each, for a 1.167 hp per coin ratio. A gold guardian charm gives 600k hp, and would have to cost 514k or less to be cost-competitive to jiaozi. So for non-instant heals, the jiaozi was still a much better deal than a charm.

I'm glad the packs are gone because I felt they were **** up the economy (by devaluing coin - each best luck token created 5 mil coin out of thin air, devaluing all other coin in the game by that amount). But the event basically had about the cheapest hp/mp regen that's ever been available in the game (the Jolly Jones jiaozi was slightly better). Yet instead of taking advantage of it and stocking up on yuanxiao and jiaozi, most people sat around complaining about the cost of charms.

Er, I stockpiled 15,000 herb yuanxiao on the last night of the previous pack sale anticipating a rising price on those. Obviously when the pack sale is over herb prices, along with everything else token-based (or in sesame's case because it's related to herb), skyrockets. Hence why I am in the opposing view as you and not glad the packs are gone.

I'd rather see gold prices at what they sell for as that's always the most reasonable. In HT, they sold for 480-530K each over the last few days. It's a good price because that's what people are buying it at. If it were too high nobody would, and the amount of coins per gold goes down as people want to sell their gold, even the people who buy cheap gold and re-sell it.

Sometimes you pay higher than you think you should, sometimes you get a better deal. Trade always has winners and losers.

Yep. I don't mind high gold prices. But I'm really worried about end game gear at the market. This ruin all fun in game. Also it destroying all goals. b:sad

    pve server
charms necessary for pvp... its not about the grinding regen

Most of the people who need a charm are 75+. That's about the time when exp gain really slows down and people resort to Zhen groups, rebirth, etc. And more than likely restoring 5000 mp and 3500 hp will be a waste before 75 (you probably don't have anywhere near that many hp unless you're a barb).

And Jolly Jones yuanxiao (3500 mp) and jiaozi (2500 hp) sold for similar prices and has a level 25 limit. I still see several cat shops selling those in nearly every city at very reasonable prices. Around 1.2k-1.5k each, which still makes them much cheaper than a charm (the jiaozi is even more cost-effective than the crab jiaozi from this event).

The way I see it, buying a charm is paying a 4x premium for hp regen, 10x premium for mp regen just so you can have the hp/mp restoration kick in automatically. If you're poor as originally claimed, why are you trying to buy something that gives you so little bang for the buck?

Agreed, for hp charms. But pvp is voluntary in this game (either you choose to go white-named, or you chose to start on a PvP server). So if the charm cost bugs you that much, maybe you made the wrong choice going PvP?
next event : Santa Packs , .001% chance to get a santa mount !
