So some guildmates and i have been running lots of 3-1's lately. Sometimes we'll have to make 2 runs in a row just to have enough mats to split in a 5 to 6 person group. So what gives? Is the drop rate in that TT just that bad or is there some special way to do that TT so that it gives you better drops? We adjusted the order we kill in because some of my guildmates said it seemed to make a difference but i don't know. Does anyone else know? b:beg

The drop rate in 3-1 is terrible especially for colluseast and nemen you have only a little over 40% chance of getting 1 green mat per run. i had to do 14 solo runs to get the 5 beast armours from colluseast for my TT 90 armour.0

Its totally random and all down to luck
Just did a run and got 9 mat drops
2 GBA, 2 sacred mothers orbs, 2 Horns, 3 Hands,0 -
Actually, Today I had a Very successful run.
5 Sorcerer's hands dropped. A GBA, 3 Ghost lord's ribbons and a Sacred mother's orb. (We skipped Djinn.. only 3 in squad)
Maybe we just got lucky on this run, because on the other runs that ive been on. The drops are nowhere near this good.
Also theres a sick humor that the new expansion will Nerf TT3-1's drops even further.
I'd like to belive this is a lie, Really.. (Will a Gm confirm this? )
This game doesnt need anymore Nerfs *coughGeniescough*
So yea, bottom line is.. 3-1's drops are pretty slack. But you may get lucky! b:victory[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I solo 3-1 a LOT... before, when I did every boss, my average drops were about
1 sorceress's hand, 1 ghost lord's ribbon, 2 sacred mother's orb, per run
Now, I just do first boss, beast, and 4 minute duo with another veno... average 1 beast armour and 3 evil minion horns per run.
it's mainly luck... I've gotten 3 beast armours and 1 shell in one run, and 7 evil minion's horns in 1 run. I've also gotten no drops from each boss.HT clerics at their finest:
hari: can you do mdef debuffs? makes the fight go faster
naughty_x: waste, I do more damage without them
hari: ...you do more damage in 2 seconds than reducing mdef by 35% for 4 casters does in 20 seconds?
naughty_x: is waste, i do more damage
hari: 3-3 BH goes a lot faster with a sin
naughty_x: no, only a difference of like 3 minutes
hari: ...we've been in here a lot longer than 3 minutes already

Its totally random, sometimes I had to do 2 runs like you do yourself, one run I got, a Sacred Mother's Aura, Giant Beast Shell, Giant Beast armor, 3x hands, 3 orbs, 2x horns, and a plate, we skipped Steelation, but this run was good enough.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Well I don't really know what to believe, most probably is Level based at some extent, then random....
Some Times when i do Squad-Mode 1-3 All I get is 1 mirror 1 serpent Blood, some mirages and that's it! .. Another times in the same Mode i get up to 5 War drums, some 3 mirrors , 4 Bloods and maybe 2 or 3 drops from Last Boss . So at times it feels like the bosses just hate you and other times you hit the jaK-pot! b:cute5 pet skill slots TVM :: venos will $hare more oFc0 -
It isnt "all luck". The OP i believe is asking about it compared to all prior TT (1-x/2-x). And yes, it is documented as a lower drop rate.
In all prior TTs, you should average 2 green mats per boss. In 1-x/2-x, just about every boss has either (1): 6 drops with 33.3% chance per drop of green mat, or (2): 9 drops with 22.2% chance per drop of green mat. Now luck plays some part of course, many runs more, many runs less mats, but overall, your average chances are 2 green mats per boss.
Now we arrive at 3-1 and they pretty much put the kai-bosh on drop rates (for no known reason). Well they started to shift the rates around alot so that they dont fall into the prior standard chances. The following is for green drops (not considering gold);
Coredash - 13.33% chance over 15 drops; should average 2 drops per run.
Steelation - 9.5% chance over 9 drops; should average .85 drops per run.
Djinnscream - 16.7% chance over 12 drops; should average 2 drops per run.
Illusion Nemen - 11.1% chance over 12 drops; should average 1.33 drops per run.
Dark Colluseast - 9.5% chance over 9 drops; should average .85 drops per run.
Deathflow - 13.33% chance over 12 drops; should average 1.6 drops per run.
So as you can see while Coredash & Djinn should both give you a normal-ish drop rate (on average), the rest have been reduced. Steelation's drop isnt used for much, but the sorely missed one is Colluseast's drop, which is why that Giant Beast Armor is so expensive.0
