How about setting up a public test server? We could help the devs test the new material before it gets published to the regular servers for errors.

Create a character and try it out. Don't like it, delete it, wait a week, and try again. Or use a server you don't main on. There's no point in setting up new servers for any reason. b:bye

I don't think you understood what he was saying. The server would not be for testing out your characters. It would be to check for glitches/problems/defects within future updates of the game, before it gets thrown into all the running servers. It's not a bad idea really, but I doubt it would happen.

I played [other game] and they had a public test server. It was generally a patch ahead of the original game or inserted new material for us to test. It was a great idea and if something was flawed about it, they didn't add it. It had a free level npc too to test the higher level stuff so you don't spend days or weeks on leveling just to test something.

Angel, this isn't about testing your characters, it's about testing new things to be implemented.

Exactly. I've been on a few games that had test servers and I think it helped a lot.

Oh. I'm sorry, I totally misread that. b:shocked

When you put it that way, I have to agree. It's always good to have an extra set of eyes with these programming things.
