sleep lvl10: lasts twice as long as paralyze, opponent cant move/ attack/ or use pots (gives you time to plumeshell/stack ironhearts/debuff/ channel a long spell etc) but the person wakes up as soon as they are attacked with a damage spell.

silent seal lvl 10: doesnt last as long, opponent cant move but can still attack. But you can attack them for up to 15 or so seconds without the seal getting canceled like sleep. Use this on melee class's and gain distance to attack without being touched. Or use on archers to keep them close to you for 50% less damage.

Uncanny. I was just about to ask this very question today. Are you 100% sure someone can attack back if you paralyze them? (Silent Seal). It seems to me if someone is paralyzed they shouldn't be able to move or attack, like a stun. The description reads that it is up to Y amount of seconds depending on the level. Are you 100% that the person you attacked just didn't have it hit them for 1 second or about and that's why they could attack back?

I would think that if the person is paralyzed and can't attack back, b ut allows you to attack then despite it being for a shorter duration Silent Seal serves a better purpose then Chromatic. I'd rather be able to stun someone and blast the hell out of them then sit and heal myself on initiating and attack. Then I can seal them and heal if need be after I've given them the good news.

I may consider leveling up Silent Seal over chromatic is this is the case.

    ^ Yes

Silent Seal works great with Melee (as mentioned above). It basically stops them in their tracks. BAD to use with ranged classes unless you can get out of their range. Otherwise no point. It is a great combo if worked right...

agreed about ranged classes, except archers. You have no idea how many archers i come across that dont run away when I run up to them. Idk if they dont know their damage is reduced up close or not <_<

i lvl'd silent first as it maxes early, it works for everything they said, and it hlps keep the nixes at bay, or keep ppl from running when ur about to kill them too >=).

but chromatic hlps alot too, can be used to stack heals/defend urself. buy u 30+ sec to gtfo/debuff and tempest. i even use it to cancel ppls/mob chan.

their both good, u just gotta be creative and use em in different ways b:victory
