This is Bull!!! We get to enjoy our prize of being the only 5 on the servers with this outfit for a whole WEEK!! Why even have the contest. Just release the fashion as the contest "Who Can Buy It & Dye It First" I can see releasing it after a month but we received these on the 21st and here they are!
Sure you can say well you got them for free. I could care less about getting them for free, I have no problem with buying things out of the cash shop, just look at my account. Winning the prizes isn't about getting something for free. In a game with this many people, being able to stand out in the crowd can be very difficult, but we all try. Whether it be making Uber armor, or Joining a powerful guild so you can have your name on the map, to even those that talk constantly in world chat. These people are all trying to find something that makes them special in this game. And that's what winning a prize, from a contest, that you worked hard on does. It gives you that some special to stand out in a crowd.
I could have sold this outfit to many, Got offers up over 70mil but I didn't want to win so I could sell my prize for mils. I wanted the prize to give me my opportunity to stand out in the crowd and you have now ruined that experience. Well you won't see me take Hours Upon Hours creating any more entries it's just not worth it. b:angry

    All I can say is you should have taken the 70 mil cause quite simply NOTHING remains "rare" in PW esp when they see the potential to make money from it, you should have made your money when u could have better luck next time oh and congratulations on winning the contest.

    I'm actually glad I didn't. I would have felt extremely bad for the person who paid that much for it amd have it released a day or 2 later. Thanks for the congrats!

    It's not as though this was a hey Happy Birthday gift or a you won the lottery gift. We did actually have to do something in order to win it. All I'm saying is there has been a lot of prizes that took months to release (Black Raptor) and somethings that have yet to be released (Bulbfish) It just would have been nice to enjoy being the only ones for more than a week. They could have picked a different prize, since they knew this won was being released today. Hopefully none of the winners were on vacation the week we got it, or they didn't even get their week.

    Actually before you assume something plz ask. The outfits were ABSOLUTELY not pre-dyed. I paid 2.5 mil to dye it. I got an orange top, green skirt and purple boots.

    True it probably would I spent $10 real more to get the 2.5 mil in game I could have bought it for that but yes it would still need dyes. But like I said for me it wasn't about getting it for free. I buy and dye all the outfits that come out anyway (except for the pirate cause I think it's ugly) It was that we didn't get long to be the only ones with it. I'm not saying they should have never released but in the other contests, they gave the winners a lot long to enjoy their prize (being the only ones)

    Why are you even surprised? It's been obvious for long now that those "rare" items in game as fashion or mounts are going to be availible for everyone sooner or later.. Don't get surprised.. lol..

    Look I knew that there would be those that would reply that didn't agree with me and that's fine, obviously we all have are own opinions. I'm just hoping for future winners they think about the prize and when they plan to release it and give them a little more time to be special.

    It has nothing to do with being admired. There is not one person in this world that can't say that it's nice sometimes to be just be special. And if you say you don't, then that's just a lie, I'm sorry to say.

    This is very True! But think of it this way, Do celebrate your Birthday? Sure most people do, But how many people are celebrating their birth and how many want to celebrate because it's their special day.

    I'm not a complainer, you can see from my past posts, I don't complain. I also am not an attention grabber. I don't carry on full conversations in world or reg chat. I just thought that if I chimed in on this matter along with others who have too that maybe eventually they will listen. If we say nothing when something bothers us then how will hey know.

    Hmm how do u feel when u get a really unique glowing weapon (with good stats) as a prize for a difficult contest and 4~5 days later they just release it in the cash shop for xxxx dollars so that all others can simply buy them? I guess this was something of the case for the Lunar weapons with the Anni Packs.

    I am pretty sure that would really get on the nerves of people who like having an edge over others when it comes to equips.

    This the same for fashion. People who enjoy fashion would be bugged with such a move since they longer have an edge over others. Hardcore pvpers wouldnt give a damn about fashion but am sure there are loads who would.

    There should be a unique fashion set to distinguish contest winners from the rest for the efforts they put in to the contest. Its only fair to give them that recognition.

    I am not usually one to jump on a complaint bandwagon, usually I say stop QQ'ing and it is just a game. b:chuckle

    I kind of agree with Toxickiss. Could have at least let her enjoy the fruits of labor a little longer, or gave some hint that it's not that special of a prize, or maybe at least could have waited until after halloween. *shrugs*

    Toxic, I'm sorry it happened to you hun. But nothing on PWI stays Rare. Nothing.

    Think of how pissed those people were when the DQ horses became available in cash shop? You would've...honestly..been better selling it for the 70 mil and stocking up from that or something. Or be thankful that you got it for free and dyed it before dyes and clothing prices shot through the roof. Again.

    Grats on your prize. But that did make me sad :/ What is the point of contests when the same prize is going to be available a week later in cash shop? Come on, Devs =/...Take this and at least think of something.

    It never stops surprizing me how rude and entitled people have gotten.

    @Malei - the point of contests is to participate, and if you win, you get some free stuff. She won, gratz, she got her free stufff, great. I do not remember she making a post thanking PW for the free stuff and for the nice contest.....

    Well the point of contests is to have the chance to win something for Free. Wether that be a current CS item or a future one.
    The same as countless RL contests

    Sry your not special but thats life. Sry you actually thought this might stay rare. Sry you didnt make the smart choice of selling it. But at the same time i dont feel sorry for you because it seems from this event and your reference to this 70M, your obsession on winning things seem to be more money and rarity oriented than a memorable item from a contest you worked hard for. Which, I dont think the pple who actually made the contest intended it for. They made it for FREE fun. A FREE way for EVERYONE to earn a chance to get a item FASTER and FREE.
