Pretty Terrible Bug

Okay, so I suppose it could simply be a bug or virus on my computer, but it has only happened while the PWI client was running. I can only describe it as something like this:

The first time it happened I was playing the game like any other day, when the entire screen started to look very choppy, like a graphical error, or like, when you look through a kaliedescope. After that it was followed by literally a flowing pink screen that looked like waves. Kinda scared, I force turned off my laptop.

I turned it back on, and got a message something like, "Windows could not start because there was an error in reloading... yada yada yada... start from the previous safe point of." (This is totally at the beginning of turning on my computer before my Desktop has even come up)

I was able to get to the Desktop the second time and tried the PWI client again. The exact same thing happened, and I shut it down again.

I left the laptop for a few hours and let it cool off. I turned on the computer, went through the same process of having to press "Windows could not start because there was an error in reloading... yada yada yada... start from the previous safe point of." And I was able to get to the Desktop again. This is infact how I am making this post now.

I tried the internet browser first, and as you can see it worked fine. As for the PWI client, I tried running it, was able to log in with a character, but after about 2 minutes the graphics started to get all hazy. Convinced that this bug/virus had more to do with the client then my actual computer, I shut down the client before it could get to the "pink flowy screen of death"

I immediately uninstalled the client and all related PWI files, came onto the forums and proceeded to peruse the technical support section for a case with some similarities. Finding none I chose to post this.

I thank you for you help

The symptoms are as if your laptop cannot keep your GPU cool enough for safe operation, or that some other nearby components related to video are getting too hot, instead. If it were the PWI client directly, you would not have problems booting up like you did, and letting it cool off would not have helped.

If you have been playing on it for a good while, try blowing compressed air through your intakes and exhausts, as it could be caused by buildup of dust, if it has previously been working fine with such games.
