Trying to Get Protect and Strong Skills

The skill tree shows Protect and Strong skills which I would like to add to my turtle. However the Zoologist does not have the skill scrolls for these items.

Where do I get them from.

Thanks,

I was early taught to work as well as play,
    My life has been one long, happy holiday;
Full of work and full of play-
I dropped the worry on the way-
And God was good to me everyday.

Both have a 5% chance to find from Temple of Dragon Treasure.

Unless there's a major upgrade to the game that introduces many more water quests: I wouldn't waste them on it. I put them on a plumpfish only to find no water quests, and not even ideal water mobs to grind on after 89 or so. I saw protect in Archosaur on HT server today for 19m. I'd only pay that price to put it on a ranged pet.

You are better off slapping those legendary skills on a magmite to make a cheapo deapo herc due to the huge gold prices inflating herc to unavaliability.

That'd be crazy. Herc comes with them already leveled, for about the going price of the skills themselves. Herc also has much better stats.

He/She would either need 180-200 USD, or approximately 65 million coins on current gold prices, to purchase a herc. He can easily find the scrolls for less in price (Ive seen them 10-20m), leveling them would still not push it over the ridiculous price of gold currently. (Its 500k on my server, Id assume its just as nasty elsewhere.)

A magmite with herc skills isn't a cheap herc, it's just a better magmite. It's still slow, it's less damage, it's even a little less aggro than a herc, and the skills can be put on other pets. A magmite will just be replaced eventually, and unless you're 80+ you can't even train herc skills to the level the hercs start at. Lets take your average of 15 mil for the skills. That's 45 mil for protect/strong/reflect and an additional 800k to level each for a final cost of 47.4 mil. Although you're saving 13 mil the lower hp and resists on a magmite don't bring it up to a hercs level. A magmite gains 42.5 hp/level while the herc gains 45/level (and the magmite suffers a 10% penalty on its 42.5% for levels 1-17) meaning just in the hp difference it's 5.55% behind. Then, a herc with buffs takes 14% physical and 17% magical damage while a magmite (if it's high enough for level 5 buffs in the first place) 15% physical and 20% magic damage.

Meaning, the herc has 5.55% more hp, 6.67% less physical damage intake, and 15% less magic damage intake. The overall difference being 12.59% physical and 21.38% magic damage. Lets just average it and say the difference is 16.99%. That's a large tanking difference, when you could just farm slightly longer for coin and get a herc instead, you've already farmed most of it just to get the skills, go for the real thing.

The price of gold isn't ridiculous at all considering I could make an illegal living off of a 100k to 1g economy. Because you QQ, it doesn't make it right. The SoF can be obtained quickly at below gold costs (due to cash shoppers unloading what they don't need). The difference in price is about 1 good day's earnings with a Herc even at actual gold costs. Skipping dailies, and other boring/easy xp's: you should still probably be able to obtain one in a single level at 85+. Hercless at 85+ should be embarrassing even with the gold rates.

Just wanted to say that at 500k per gold, and a herc costing 180-200 gold, that would put a herc at 90-100 mil. So if the final cost of the magmite is 47.4 mil, then your savings is quite a bit more than 13 mil; that's half as much as the herc. Just commenting on the numbers here.

It's only 500k for the anniversary packs, it's unlikely to remain that high afterwards.

Lol taking advantage of this topic, what normal pet's you guys recommend to spend a little in those rare skills IF you can? Only for tanking purposes of course.

Nothing else than the Cub cross my mind right now...
