Dex Veno?

I've played many many different types of veno build, but, I've never tried a dex veno. I'm not talking about an LA veno, I'm talking about a veno that has enough str for arcane armor and enough mag for armor and wepon plus what you would need for mag attack plus a dex point every level. So it would be 7 Mag 2 Dex 1 Str every two levels. Would this help because of the crit rate going up? Or would it just gimp my damage?

While on the same subject, would a "archer" veno be a build worth trying? I understand what the diffiulties would be with it, but I still think it would be fun.

I know I'm an archer and this is a veno thread, but look at if you were lvl100 with that build. At lvl100 you have 100dex, that's 5%crit plus your starting 1% crit. I don't thin6% crit is going to offset the loss of damage from the reduced magic. Unless you plan on getting godly gear where you can restat extra stat points into dex to raise your crit% or buy lots of gear with crit% bonuses, I don't think it would work out to well. I'm not an expert on the veno class, I'm just stating my opinion and viewpoint. If you would like to experience the high crit rate, I suggest building an archer.

The crits do indeed help your damage. Quite a lot - I got up to 4% with rings for a while - you really notice the difference.

    There are two downsides:
Firstly, crit's don't help your healing. So you're not able to pet-tank as well as normal (because you have less magic).
Secondly, damage spikes are often very bad. If your first cast is a crit - then oops! You just pulled aggro off of your pet.

Oh, and you'll have a bit less mana too, but that hardly matters.

I suggest you try it with crit rings first (the rank ring works fine) and see if you like it, before dedicating dex to it.

Critic builds for magic chars don't depend of your atributes, with 100Dex+5% of critical youre exchanging for 100Con+1.200 of HP, that is most useful.

Critic depend of gears, also give preference for the Evil way, cause Evil always give more critic in the skills (masterys and stuff) than God.
