Locked mouse when moving...?

Okay, I just a couple days ago got a new laptop. Now, when I play pwi if I try to move angles when I'm running or controling my player or something, the mouse locks and won't move. If I'm even pressing one button on my keyboard, the mouse won't do anything until I'm no longer pressing a button.

I've checked all mouse options I've got and can't find anything to tell me how to stop that. The last laptop I had didn't have that problem.

I'm running windows Vista, the laptop is an Acer Aspire. Please advise....

Are you using the pad or a usb mouse?

Also, is it a multi-core laptop?

    Hmm.

Do you have a usb mouse you could use?

And have you tried changing the double click settings so its disabled on the pad. I have a feeling its something to do with the settings of the pad :P

I do, however I'm used to the touchpad.

I'm not sure how to change the settings for the double-click as it only is showing the speed/sensitivity for it. The clicklock is disabled already so its not that....

ok i was looking at the specs and it says it comes with only 64MB of video memory.

If that is the case there is where the issue might be ^^

Can you please post your dxdiag display tab info:

Go to Start, click on Run (or Search if using Vista/7), and type in dxdiag and press enter.

Click on the Display tab, and then post here everything in the Device and Drivers boxes (highlighted in red):

Ah heck nevermind. The comp just crashed....

So now, my question becomes, why is this my second computer in 1 week to have a hard drive failure? All of this during pwi....

Because you might not have sufficent memory to run both PW and Vista :P

Also, Acers are notorious for overheating.

-_- your sarcasm isn't necessary. I'm very upset right now, its not that I DONT have enough memory. PWI DOESN'T take up even 50% of my computers memory. PWI was on for a total of 10 minutes, I was standing around doing NOTHING when the computer crashed.

4GB of memory is PLENTY of memory for pwi and vista. Thanks for trying to help me with the previous issue, but I think I'd rather not take anymore advice unless you have something non-sarcastic to say.

The Acer didn't overheat either. Wasn't even on for more than 20 minutes. Plus it was on a cooling pad.

I am talking about your gfx card memory, not your system memory.

I was NOT being sarcastic, google "Acer Aspire issues" and you will see for yourself.

I am just trying to help you.

If you can post your dxdiag tab display info I can continue to help you.

Well the pwi/vista comment was sarcasm, not necessary. I've run this game, skype, and surfed the internet on my toshiba WITH vista for 3 months. I think my gfx card can handle it on this toshiba.

The Acer isn't working, it needs a new hard drive or something (which is what I just had my toshiba through). As it will no longer boot up period. Sorry the dxdiag is gonna have to wait.

I'm not arguing the issue on the overheating, however I'm telling you from what I noticed as the computer was sitting on my lap, it was not warm, there was a cooling pad, working, underneath it, the computer was online for maybe 20 minutes, 10 of which were on pwi. It did the same lag-stop the toshiba did before the crash and inability to restart the computer. (Of which the Toshiba needed a new hard drive).

The Toshiba doesn't have pwi back on it. As I just got it back. (Thus what I'm typing this to you on now).

Im sorry you misunderstood me, I was referencing your Acer when i made that pw/vista statement not your other pc. It was not a sarcastic statement. I was stating that because most likely your gfx card memory was/is not enough to run both properly. Yes you might have been able to do it, but you were probably pushing your system, which could explain the crash. No sarcasm there, none was intended I'm sorry that it was implied.

So I guess this problem will have to wait to be solved then.

    I appreciate your help. Sorry that it crashed or I would have posted the dxdiag x.x;

But to be honest, I don't think it was a gfx issue. When I ran pwi, skype, and the internet yesterday, i didn't have any issues. So I'm not sure what's the deal. But I'm taking it in now.

Much appreciated for your help so far ^^

64mb integrated graphics.... yea, that's probably your issue. also, you don't appear to have enough processor power, however i can't translate between brands/types, so no idea if your 1.4ghz is the same as or greater than the 1.5ghz req

64mb is not enough video memory according to the sysreqs as per the download page: LINK
    System Minimum Requirement Suggested Requirement
Operating System Windows Vista Windows Vista

have 128MB of RAM 128MB or higher recommended
                              (Direct X 9.0c or later)
