Who wants Veno Swimming Mastery back???

I dont know if everybody has noticed it. But as soon as you learn swimming mastery for veno (that was suppossed to rise your swimming speed) and you go to its description it says it has no effect or N/A not applicable. According to other threads this feature was disabled long ago. b:cry
Nobody knows why still and the effect is disabled still. Ive heard that it was because some venos migth have better chances in pvp but then why to remove it in pve? what if you wanna swim through the ocean for quest and you cant follow your barb friend ahead?
If Untamed get bonuses from true form, they both should have them. b:surrender
I wonder why barbs do have 20% more speed in true form and venos dont. Ive heard "yeah but venos do have summer sprint", yes but not since lv 9 or so. b:lipcurl
So please DEVs get it BACK and give venos a nice swimming... i dont wanna waste coins or spirit in a skill that has no effect. b:victory PLEASE!!!!

Hmmm....I never noticed that in the skill list. I'm gonna take a good look when I go back on. But that is unfair. I have always wondered about why the barbs get the extra speed in tiger form while venos in fox form don't. Well, they do have that summer sprint skill later on.0

Really though...how much time do veno's spend in the water?
My veno's have spent VERY LITTLE time in any water situation.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I wouldn't mind having my Swimming Mastery back. It's kinda sorta annoying when a skill I had that used to do something is suddenly made to do... absolutely nothing. Especially when another class with the same skill still gets to keep the effect. At least just lower the boost the skill gives or whatever, but don't just completely remove it without some form of compensation.
As for the whole true form speed boost thing, I don't really mind that. Barbs get a HP/Speed boost but deal less damage. Venos get a pdef/accuracy boost but lose some MP (and the percent of MP lost decreases as you level fox form). If you want a speed boost from fox, go demon. We already have sprint so speed differences should be a non-factor and the pdef boost can be very valuable for us when getting ambushed by phys monsters/players.0 -

Thats just because water areas are very little. What about all the lv 50+ Misfortune quest, they are all underwater. and even some lv 30ish for killin sharks and stuff.
What about farming leather and rough fur from sharks?

To me on my veno's, I honestly do not think that I would waste the coin nor the spirit. b:surrender
I can understand what you are saying, but to me it does not make sense. Just like the Flight Mastery of Elves. It is ok but MOST get cs wings which are at least +0.5=+1 faster then Level 10 Flight Mastery. Which unfortunately I did level up..but mainly because it was the only skill I had not maxed b:chuckle[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

i think if they had the idea of "tideborn" earlier

If I were you guys, instead of asking for swimming mastery to be fixed I'd ask for it to be removed and replaced with something more useful

It really doesn't matter to me it is not like untamed are in the water long.I would probably never lvl up my swim mastery if it was usefull.Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.0

that was so WRONG that they sneaked that away from us to begin with! for what purpose was it taken?? and its really not right for new players, to waste the points getting it, only to find its unusable.b:angry and venos *really* need it, since so many things are triggered just by our presence, like DoD, and think that we are tasty snackables, even without a pet out. we really NEED to be able to swim fast!

The reason they took it out was because the Tideborn are probably going to get a swimming mastery skill. It suits.

IF both barbs and venos had lost the skill, then your reason would be what we'd tell all the Untamed who were upset over it, since it would then make sense. Alternatively, IF the swimming mastery on venos was nerfed, but not removed, and adequate reasoning was provided, there wouldn't be as many complaints. Heck, if there had been some compensation and/or forewarning about this, it would at least allow us to tell those who are upset about it to stop complaining because we were given something for it.
HOWEVER, none of the above is the case. Venomancers and ONLY Venomancers had their skill completely removed. There was no compensation. There was no forewarning. There was no official statement even mentioning it. And, obviously, there has been no word from any member of the staff explaining why this was done.
As an archer, would you like it if all of a sudden Bow mastery was removed from the game without warning, compensation, or reasoning provided? How do you think Clerics without CS wings would feel if Flight Mastery was suddenly removed for them but Archers still got to keep it? How about removing sprint from BMs without warning and then people coming along and telling them to use apoth pots? How about randomly nerfing roar on Barbs? Why don't we nerf wiz-- Wait, nevermind. See the problem? It's not so much removal of the skill asthe fact that two (non-tideborn for those using that as a crutch) classes had the exact same skill. Yet while one class had it completely removed without warning, reason, or compensation in any way shape or form.... the other class was completely unaffected and kept the skill in full working order. Can't use the coming Tideborn as an excuse or BOTH untamed should have had their swimming mastery removed. Not just one or the other.0 -

FYI, that skill never worked (at least, it didnt work when I started playing - Nov 2008). They never fixed it. It wasn't disabled on purpose. So don't start saying it was taken out so Tideborn race is the only one with it. Get to the facts.0

you and i have played the same length of time, approxmatly....didnt you ever swim with tigers? i used to swim with my son and daughter, and we venos kept up just fine with him, when he had full mastery. so i remember well the difference it made.
