i was searching the interwebz (i know its not a real word but i like it dammit) and i came across some info on what is going to be released with the rising tide expansion and i read that apparently everyone gets 50 free gold. i have a sneaking suspicion this info is incorrect but i was wondering what you guys thought of it and if it would be possible if a gm (possibly eatwithspoons, i like him. hes cuddly b:chuckle) could confirm or deny this rumor that would be awesome

    b:pleased Would be nice, would be welcomed, is more than deserved from how the devs made the games economy go to waste. Are we going to see it, i bet you 110% we are not :*(

    Preposterously incorrect. And here's why:
    -After an idea suggested by my friend, I PM'ed Spoons with a suggestion - for future contests (at least some of them), offer X gold instead of a fixed prize.
    -The message Spoons conveyed back to me is that PWI regards Zen/Gold as "real" money, which must be monitored and processed through Accounting. So in a nutshell, giving out free Zen screws with their bookkeeping.

    Personal speculation: "Free Zen" offers are paid through advertisement services like Gambit, etc, but the money itself is still recieved, credited to PWE, Inc. through those agencies.

    So I can safely assure you that, without a doubt, PWI will NOT be passing out free money.

    ...I mean seriously, has this company struck you as anything remotely like altruistic so far?

    They do let people play that do not spend RL money... that is pretty nice of them....
    Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.

    this is true, but with the anniversary packs and such the economy is very over-inflated

    it was starting to settle at 300k and then they re-released the ani packs and it's back to 500 again, unless they intend to cripple us with these prices they're not stabilizing the economy and have little concern for us free to play players

    Without nonpayers, this game would be a ghost town. Even if it were just 1 server and cash shoppers could fill that server, they would quit. Cash shopper buy gold for 2 reasons: Easy gaming and, most imporantly, to get ahead of the competition. If there are no regular players, cash shoppers would just be equal to every other cash shopper.     Bingo! and also some people buy gold with the express purpose of selling it too the non cash players (i do this, frequently). No non cs players in the game, little incentive to buy zen. I did buy zen to sell gold for coins because i waned oodles of fashions, and buying fash in the boutique is ridiculous, i dont wanna dress like a rainbow.
    I have no use for signatures... hypocrisy aside xD
