Which would give a higher atk dmg on a mag weapon?

Atk Lvl+1 gem, Perfect Saphire shard or Element shards? And, would you know the numbers/ratio? Thanks.

    The Attck +1 = Only worth it with at least 8 of them for +8...otherwise stick with the Shards.

    Attack shards are only worth it in your armor, and even then only if you want to trade defense for more attack power.

    Weapons should always have sapphires/garnets if you want more damage.

    Element shards don't work on magic attack, only physical attacks. Just like the wizards water buff doesn't work for casters.

    Plus you need a staggering amount of damage or a target with a much larger defense grade than your attack grade for +1 to be better than a perfect sapphire. So unless all you fight is 150 bosses even an average sapphire is better.

    Maybe if the gem was +10... +1 is a joke for a grade 12 weapon gem, imo. Defense is different, so +1 makes more sense. If you could stack enough if they were +10 to get a +100 grade over what you fight you'd never take damage and solo everything in your sleep. But a weapon you can only have 2 max.

    Even if they were +100 and you had a warsoul with 3 +50, all you would do is 4.5x your normal damage. Its not like as if 100 grade over would give you instant kill anything like 100 grade over in defense would make you immune to damage.

    just curious on what basis you are saying that element stones dont increase magic attack?

    if you add additional wood damage to a wood magic attack, or additional metal damage to a lightning magic attack, it is only logicial that the element stones will increase the attack if that is the element of the spell. It seems much less likely that a melee weapon with an element stone in it would cause damage consistent with that element, as the attack is physical and not based on an element.

    im not saying you're wrong or I'm right, but i operate on the above assumption, because its logical, if what you are saying is they case please tell me how you arrived at that conclusion

    It has been tested and proved that elemental shards only affect basic attacks (aka. wacking the damned mob). it does not affect lightning skills for clerics/archers, and wood shards does not help make veno's wood skills stronger. Unless you use regular old basic wacking attacks.
    I was early taught to work as well as play,
    My life has been one long, happy holiday;
    Full of work and full of play-
    I dropped the worry on the way-
    And God was good to me everyday.

    This. I'm pretty sure it's because your skills are reliant on your phys/magic attack + a certain number of damage. Elemental shards don't affect your phys/magic attack, and nothing at all affects the certain number of damage.
