Halloween Event

With Halloween fast approaching I was wondering about possible events.

I have only been playing about 7 or 8 months so I wasn't here this time last year.

Does anyone know if there was a halloween event coming up (by event I mean something to do, not something to buy from Boutique.) I know a lot of other MMO game have actual events and was wondering if I have anything to look forward to.

My suggestion would be to run an "Instanced" event like a TT or FB so it doesn't become a lag fest, to kill something in a party or to collect drops from mobs to create something. Even decorating the major cities would be nice.

Things to make:-

Potions (to transform into various mobs)
Black cat veno pet
Visible Witches/Wizards hat
Witches/Wizards outfit
Broomstick aero's
Halloween masks

It would be so nice to feel like some thought and effort had been put into making a free event for all players to enjoy instead of the endless sales and attempts to make money. I know other free to play games that make free to participate events. I hope it happens although doubt it will.

    Sad to say,

    But I bet the devs think that the anniversary packs will make a great halloween event... for that matter I bet they become our christmas, new years and easter celebration too..

    The black cat veno pet would be a cool idea..It would be semi cool if it was like a rare pet spawn, but I think that would be way too crazy. But if everyone got to get one, that would be cool. And if you could make it into an all class pet..b:dirty

    I didn't participate in Jolly Jones last year. But I do remember the temporary fairy dress "costume".

    Agree with this, specially with the witch/wizard outfits and with decorating the major cities

    Also should get candies from NPCs or something o.O

    All I can say is: CANDY! Make an NPC that sell candy. I know I'd buy as much of it as I could. Maybe make mobs have a small percent drop rate of it as well. Maybe some kind of temporary costume item as well? That would be fun to see.

    They did have Halloween Candy. Worked kinda like potions.

    (was not here last year as was not playing yet, but have seen them and talked to people about the event)

    I have a feeling we're already looking at this year's Halloween event b:chuckle

    If the devs are focusing all of their attention on the expansion, I doubt we'll see much else until after it's out.

    I know when my lil sis (when she was 13) played that... uhm... tooncity, cartoontown, maybe toontown, idk what the name is but ya they decorated for holidays, I think it would be a great idea to have the major cities decorated, maybe keep it night time all the time, and not just on the 31st, but that weekend b4 too

    Thank you redsrose for the link. I hope they improve the rewards a little in light of higher levels achieved now. I don't think average stones would cut it now.

    What did the Halloween Armour packs and Weapon Packs hold? (first person to say weapons and armour is FAIL) b:chuckle

    I was playing back then during the last Halloween event and it was fun one
    (someone said something about fairy dresses ,yes that is true they had gongfu tunic's as well),and yes they had some kind of candy boxes which you had to open for chance of getting some good items or just candy(something like jiaozi).
    I think from armor packs you had a chance of getting headless horseman ornaments as main prize (not sure but someone correct me if am wrong) and back then Midnight was "only" 2mil ...lol.
    P.S I like Pan's idea and it really would be nice if some of those things would be implemented

    That sounds about right. I still have a few hundred Halloween candies, and one of my alts has my Midnight & the Headless Horseman Amulet/Belt. I sold my Israfel though when the Dragon came out.

    That would be a great idea, they can start with the cat shops in west arch and turn them into Goblins, Trolls and Ghouls.

    Anyways, here's my costume ideas

    would goes as follows:

    Wizards/Blademasters: Witches, Worlocks and Headless bladesmen/Headless bladeswoman

    Barbarians/Venomencers: Zombies, Werewolves and Demons

    Archers/Clerics: Vampires, Ghost and Aliens

    Or make all of the costume ideas for all classes.b:thanks
