what does the purple mean listed on equipment?

It's a very rough guide to how good the weapon is compared to other weapons of its level.

The rankings are:
white,
blue (1 star),
blue (2 stars),
purple (three stars),
gold (filled in star)

A purple weapon will have at least some bonus magical effects (which might be good, or might be rubbish) and will have better basic stats than an otherwise identical blue (or white) weapon.

purple, is like a elite Item, 3 star items that are more powerful then a regualr wep, and can glow

White: regualr items no add ons
1 * aka: refined = Basically Add ons to the wep ( such as phyic attack + 11 etc)
2* aka unique= More attack or def or w.e to the item ( Add ons)
3* aka elite = glowly stuff ( add ons)
Gold = Legendary aka Super = yellow ones
Green = TT aka Super (2) = green ones

Alerean - Heavens Tear

These can be very confusing, because a 1* item can often be better than a 3* item.

The only difference in stats between 1* and 3* for a weapon is the patk and/or matk values of the weapon. (3* also glow blue, but its a simply a visual effect.)
Essentially a if a 1* sword had 100-120patk, a 3* of the same sword might have 110-130patk.

That doesn't mean the 3* is automatically better however, as that 1* might have a bonus attribute of +11patk and the 3* only has something useless like +durability or something. This would mean the 1* was actually better since it would have slightly more patk due to that +11patk attribute.

yeah like i have tt axes and they are green lvl 60 cant use them yet but i will!
