Lunar question

Tried in the quest section but no answers, maybe someone that reads this section would know. One of the quests for LG is Valley Entrance, it says to find some guy at the entrance to whatever valley (forget the name offhand, but it's the first one). Looking on pwd, it seems the guy is supposed to be at the very start, near the janitor and will then send you through some solo mode stuff. The problem I'm running into is, I don't see him at the location clicking his name takes me, his db location, or anywhere else for that matter.

Was this guy removed? Is the quest bugged? Am I just blind? I've run all through that first valley in solo and squad modes now and haven't seen him anywhere, before or after opening the door.

Anyone have an idea?

    just an idea, at first u may need to unlock lunar with the shoveals quest

    I did, this quest comes up after that. The shoveal quest is required to be able to get solo mode.

    Unfortunately if I recall reading patch notes from long ago correctly, the NPC was removed from the game due to bug issues. I've done the same thing as you by going to the auto-pathed spot both inside lunar and outside of it, no NPC is ever there. I've been all over as many valleys as I can in single mode, but no NPC with that name, same with the 2 valleys in squad mode I've done.

    I've sent in tickets asking them about it, I haven't gotten a straight answer as of yet. So I'm going to keep trying :P

    For all those that told me Lunar Gold wasn't worth the hassle of farming... but now have the Nirvana versions... I laugh at you. Hypocrites.

    Forgot to mention this....

    Single mode and Solo mode are different.

    Single comes from finishing with the Shoveals quest. That allows you to kill the bosses in the other valleys which would normally take forever to get to in squad mode without having to summon them. (IE, Massaca Seben, etc). It doesn't give you the chance to finish the other quests though :( (For example, killing Massaca Seben in single mode doesn't give you credit for the kill unless my quest is bugged cause I've killed him who knows how many times now and still got nothing lol).

    From my research, solo mode is very similar to single mode. So why we aren't able to unlock it as of yet is very strange to me.... Maybe there's a quest that isn't marked in there that we have to finish before we can open it? I'm unsure and cannot say, but perhaps a GM or mod would be willing to give us an official word :P

    By solo and single I suppose you mean Neo Deity mode by one of the two, since there's squad, solo and that one.
    You can get your hands on the Neo Deity scrolls using anni tokens nowadays, but afaik they're only used to summon bosses directly. Dunno, give it a try.

    Actually, if you talk to a separate NPC that's in there, you can use the neo deity scrolls and gods breath. Solo mode has nothing to do with those either.

    Its just like it sounds, a Solo mode. If you look at the bosses on pwdatabase, you will find that some of them are repeated. One is squad mode (as you can tell by hp), the other is Mirror, which is single mode (currently available if you unlock it). and the last is similar to Mirror, only the boss doesn't have "Mirror" in his name. Yet same hp.

    With the neo deity scrolls, the bosses will have the squad mode hp, not single or solo mode. If I've done my research properly.
