quick question

does the demon/sage by itself, not getting books or anything, change something in the gameplay? or is it just for show?

when you hit 89... you do your fb get the cool sage/demon that floats around you. You also get your 3rd spark (max chi is not 399) and you get your free triple spark (uses 3 sparks increase your magic atk by 700%... then the purify effect n stuff) and depending if you are sage or demon you also get the +50chi skill to use on yourself (sage) or the -50chi on an enemy (demon). You have access to heaven and hell which are two very big maps. You are now able to farm special mats and herbs and the scenery in heaven/hell is awesome... ur missing our until you see it xD. Obviously you also now have the option to upgrade your skills with the books.. I think thats everything off the top of my head.

generally by now(heaven's tear being over a year old) you should be able to find the materials in trading spots. probably not very cheap, because these are very commonly used mats(book farming, fairy quest, level 8 crafting), but they should be there.

I really don't recommend doing either fb unwined. I've done both without. the time and coin put into it isn't worth it.

I was just wondering. Is better for me to gather mats, not to buy these mats. This is why I asking, where to get it. Apparently I cannot gather these mats, so I have to buy it. Also You don't have to be mean. Sometimes I don't understand your slang language. So I'm glad if somebody cleared it simply. b:pleased

Of course I know where to buy these mats. But is much cheaper to gather mats. I always do that. But These mats are special and you cannot reach them like other mats. They are not in world normal map. I didn't know it.

yeah, that's one stupid aspect of this game.
U need FB89 wines, but u can do make them from mats you have access only if your cultivation is done - means u completed hell/heaven FB.b:sad
One way is: buy wines/mats and farm those back as soon as you have your culti done.
Good thing is with the BH runs now, u just have to should a little around Archos and you'll find a high lvl squad ready for a FB89 run. FB89 is quite easy ( beside the insane number of mobs even when wined), a good geared 90+ BM can tank it.

Have a friend farm them for you or just give them to you, then after you have access farm them back and repay. Eden is easy enough unwined, btw. With a decent party it won't take long at all. I've done quite a lot of bounty hunters in there unwined. My guild kind of rambo's it's way through though, which is why it doesn't take long but needs a good cleric.
Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

yeah, you're right , eden can be done unwined.

Your best bet is to sneak onto a wined BH run, help kill the bosses so you get your culti done, then farm the mats for your wines so you can do your own tabbed run later.

    O.O

But... Meliah and I (she's a herc veno, we are both level 85) have been doing both FB89s for fun, and for apocalypse pages. With just the two of us, being careful, not rushing, stopping to chat and so on, we can do all three bosses in something like 3-5 hours (depending, for example, on how much time we spend not fighting). And I am usually enough to keep her safe. In principle, a full, coordinated squad should be able to do things 3 times faster than just we two?

But... with a larger squad, and rushing things, things get dangerous for us. If you want to do an FB like this safely you should understand how to work with your squad mates, how to manage aggro, how to deal with emergencies, where you have wandering patrols with long paths, how each boss behaves, how to survive when you pull aggro on a boss, how to keep your tank alive when she pulls too much aggro or when her herc misses when catching on a lure, how to lure safely when geometry is against you, which monsters kite, and whatever else, and so on....

Of course with this current event, apocalypse pages are not worth very much, but if you do not play this game for fun I think you are really missing out. And rushing through with relatively unfamiliar squad mates (and no cleric) can still be fun and exciting even if you might die when things go really, really bad (we did the brimstone bosses a couple days ago: me, two blademasters and three herc venos).

if you want pages, do 1-3 and 2-2. the drop rate is far better there and can be done much, much quicker with more payback.

    oh, and:

another way to get these materials is through the cash shop.

Not really worth buying the mats from there though, better off buying from players.

And uh, yeah fb89 unwined can be done in an hour or so with a decent squad, but wined takes like 20-30 mins less. Then again, when I'm with a good squad we usually just rush/zhen through it as most of the mobs are weak.

I do not know if your information about drop rates is correct for pwi servers, but this has not been an issue for us.

We have enough pages to cover all of our 79 skills and have given many dozens of them away to close friends. We are still working on getting our five of our six skill books for level 89 (but I do have a windcatcher mold now and a librarian alt to hold skill books neither of us will be able to use).

We do run TT sometimes, but the hassles of opening and running there make that not so much fun for us, for casual entertainment.
