Basic Blacksmith question!

I have never crafted an Item before. I went to a blacksmith on archosaur but I only see items that require blacksmith level 2 or higher! I am doing something wrong or should I go to a specific blacksmith to get level 1 crafting items?

    Each blacksmith offers specific levels. The ones in the starter cities go all the way down to level 1. I'm pretty sure one of the ones in arch does as well, but certainly the starter cities do.

    None of the blacksmiths (or tailors or craftsmen) in Archosaur (or later cities/villages) let you manufacture level 2 gear (the only thing you can make with level 1 manufacturing skills.) You have to go to the starter cities or their satellite villages.
