quick question bout spurs n kirins

i want a req lvl 20 kirin, do i need to buy both spurs or just the 15 gold one? do i need to spend time lvling the kirin before using the spurs, detailed yet simple answer would make my day... ty

    only buy the 15gold ones, and just go to the Pet Manager npc in the far north-west part of archo. use "Pet Trade" or something similar. click the second tab (i think Quick?) and just select the Kirin (yes, there's also a selection for Kirin of Fortune lol)

    You'll only need the 15 gold ones.

    In fact, you only need the first set of spurrs towards making your mount faster on ANY mount that can be spurred to drop the level req to 20. (IE: regular spurrs on a panther, 15 gold ones on a Goldmare, etc)

    the lower mounts (lvl 40 required before spurring) all require both the 10gold AND the 15gold spurs to get max 11m/s speed. which is why the lvl 60 mounts are MUCH better and cheaper

    You didn't read my post....

    I said for lowering the level req. Not for getting the speed to max.

    On the topic of your post, though, depends on the mount. Unless someone divided by zero, a panther, for example, (7.5 gold cost) is cheaper after using both spurs on it (total of 32.5 gold cost) compared to... say... a hellhound with the 50 gold price tag. And that applies both to cost with real cash and, for the most part, cost when purchased from other players with coin.

    I sure don't see the 50 gold level 60 mounts getting sold for under 4 mil or a mount + X mil cions or some other trade of the sort.
