Cleric Help <3

Flame me, call be a noob I don't care. <3

So I've heard that an all mag build is commonly used as clerics. I currently have a cleric on the Lost City server, so I am planning to pvp but I also want to help people and such. Would the all mag build be smart for me or not? If not, what would be the smartest build for me?

While I'm at it, what would be the best skills to max out and which not to bother getting?

I call you a noob. Just because you asked.

All magic is used by a reasonably large number of clerics but the majority are going with vit build.

If you pvp all magic will add some more spike for killing but bear in mind that you will be easy to kill until you can refine and shard your armor to death.

I sugest going with 3vit 6mag 1str every 2 lvls. Unlike a wizard you have alot of survival skills which allows you to take massive damage. Endgame only a barb will be more hard to kill than you. Also you will never outdamage wizards and some archers so there is no point in overkilling.

Some people will say you get too little hp per vit, but 3vit will add alot and the difference is huge. With all the healing and shields and buffs the only way to kill a proper cleric is to one hit it.

You are no wizard, full mag will only bring you less survivability and too little increase in damage.

You could also go 1vit,1str and 8 mag. once you cap your vit and get enough in str. all points go in mag.
Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.

Isn't that too little hp gained for too little attack gained? Just my opinion.

No it is not as you got more in mag and can shard the rest. This here as in the sticky
+ Offensive build. Low survivability. High damage and healing power.
    - 7-8 MAG
    - 1 STR
    - 1-2 VIT

Maybe it's me. I'm a HP junky. I would have rolled a barb if they were human looking. But clerics seemed the next best thing as far as being hard to take down.

It isnt about adding vit...its about having HP. From what you get your HP, is up to you.

From Vit att, refining, HP shards, special weapon/armor/jewel effects, barb buff. Hell, I was tempted to put HP shards even in my weapon. You can never have too much HP, and on this char I'm going as close to 20K HP at lvl 105 (If i get there) as possible. It's extremly important for me to stay alive in pvp. For the thread opener, remember carry as many hp pots and life restoring elixirs as you can to use in battle. Also get Tree of Protection on your genie too. That's what the cleric is all about. Making the other player die of old age trying to kill you.

    It's all about priorities.

I have a very offensive build (every two levels, it's 1 str, 0-1 vit, 8-9 mag). All that handy magic gives me a ton of mp (more than most clerics and wizards at my level) and makes my attacks and heals that much more powerful. However, even though I've put some points into vitality, I find that I am also a great deal squishier than most other characters at my level, because I have low hp and physical defense. Granted, my heals and ample mp can usually compensate, but there are a couple bosses that can 1-hit me pretty easily. b:surrender

I've never tried pvp, so I can't say what you should do in that case... but I suggest you sit down and decide what's important to you. Some of the difference can be made up by sharding your armor and weapons, but you'll always have a particular baseline to work from. You need to decide that baseline for yourself.

And hey, if all else fails, you can always restat. b:victory

Im 9 mag 1 str every 2 lvls its fine. If you are aware of your surroundings or initiate the fight you have will have plume shield up in time. Make sure you shard your gear...even at low lvls, you dont have to use the best shards. It isnt that expensive even at our lvls to just fill all our armor with common citrines. The main problem i have had is if i get jumped i can be oneshotted. Though if jumped I have a white name and dont really care. Pure magic with plume shield up and an ironheart or 2 stacked makes you tank. (make sure you have mp apoth pots or mp charm though...bad times if you run out in the middle of a fight lol) I really like this build, even at my lvl I have three shot a bm without him getting to me. Cyclone> Plume shot > Sleep debuffes, spark, poison, wield lightning.

Lol, getting to 105 is already near impossible (takes less xp to get from 1-104 than 104-105). Then, crafting ridiculously high 3* equips (not legendary, b/c then you can't have HP+ adds), refining to +12, and getting G12 citrines is WAY more impossible. Then, getting the most HP-heavy adds is RIDICULOUSLY impossible. Even then, under the best circumstances vaguely possible, you get 19k hp.

Yes, I was bored enough to make that char on the calculator.

Why in the world would you want 20k HP on a cleric? You are not a tank. Remember that.

I'm pretty sure the ridiculously lucky HP adds on the Pataka give more HP than the extra vit.
