Wizards worth it?

I have this 2x wiz and a 7x archer, and I started a wiz because I heard that they were really good for pvp in the later levels. The quest now are starting to get fairly hard, and I was just wandering, is it worth it to stay with a wiz until the 90's for pvp/bosses? And also, what build should I use for a LA wiz?

    "Is it worth it" is really more a question you ask yourself than other people. It's what you're willing to go through to get to a higher level wiz.

    It's worth it, especially if you're a ****.

    Once you can start doing rebirth it's all downhill from there.
    Bladestorm lets you spin around like a carnival ride and do damage. Not using it is almost like having a move called Confetti Rocket Power Leap and saving it for "emergencies"

    i suggest you go with the class the is most fun to you. yes at 90-99+ pure arcane wizards are possibly the deadliest class, but till then if your arcane, and havnt mastered the class yet, most archers will kill you. i would go LA from 71-89, restat to pure at 90.

    but again, just go with the more fun class. personally i love wizard, i had a BM 56 and quit that for a veno, got that to 77 and got bored of it since i wasnt about to spend $200 on a nix so i quit that, then i made my wizard and i love it. but i always thought archer looked pretty fun, but i like being a rare class like wiz ;) everyone likes us.

    I want the ability to easily 1 hit people in pvp, which a wizard does very good at, and yet still be able to take a hit or two, which stone barrier helps alot with. With those 2 things in mind, would a wiz do both of them?

    Rolling an alt before end-game is a recipe for headaches and failure. Stick with your archer until lv 90 at least (archers **** in PvP too, check Transcend's youtube vids if you don't believe me).

    I meant it gets easier after rebirth.

    Plus you're a semi-factor in pvp! I get hate targeted now though.

    Wouldn't a wizard be able to one shot just about any archer with undine+ black ice? (In response to the person mentioning archers killing wiz)

    I generally undine extreme poison dragon and hit most archers for a little over 5k. That'll kill alot of archers, but there are many that have enough hp where its not a one shot. An easy fix would be to poke them first and then use that combo, seems to work pretty well.. but the archer using absolute domain or holy path or w/e it is makes this combo easily defeatable... and when it costs you 2 sparks 20 chi + the 2 min cooldown on sleep.. you're kinda like a fish out of water when that doesn't work :(

    totally worth!!its more of a question of.. can u lvl a wizzy that far without having problems lol i had no problems and i lvled this char to 75 in a month an a halfxD

    Personally was it worth it? Definetly.

    However the answer really depends on how much you're willing to commit; wizards dont start shining until late 70s (or whenever you happen to get Undine and/or Whisper)

    Funniest part imo is the fact that the first screenshot had no crit boost proc... that was my 8% crit

    EDIT: and yes I know the damage isnt great, still vit build with hh90 weap w/ 1 flawless shard lol
    Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

    The proc doesnt make you do more damage, it just ensures a crit on your dragon and 5 seconds afterward.

    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
    Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.

    dude i love the wiz class. i made several bms a veno an archer and a cleric but the Wizard is the best in my opinion its worth the efort. im a LA mage and i have had no problems except with money.
