Two friends of mine just did something incredible.

Rankar without cleric heals. (Read on!)

One friend is a level 74 archer, and when attacked by Rankar, ran for a bit before attempting to take it down. She got it to around 3/4 health when it passed her charm and she died, bravely sacrificing herself to help the others carry on.

So HeartofaCat, this epic level 81 full-axe BLADEMASTER, tanked Rankar with her charm, soloed it completely without heals, and dropped it straight from the 3/4 to 0.

Heart is the archer's mother, and when Rankar turtled, she just said the most epic ending line ever.

"Nobody fks with my kids."

And who said a BM couldn't tank? b:pleased

    Rawr, I thought I edited that out ninja-like. It's a relapse from an older game I played, where Valkyries were the bow-and-arrows class.

    Fun times. Though the reason people say BMs can't tank is because they have trouble holding aggro, not because they can't take the damage. BMs have to rely on their damage output to hold aggro, whereas Barbarians have aggro-building skills as well. Basically, Archers and Wizards will pull aggro from BM tanks more easily than from Barbarian tanks.

    Kinda interesting. Though as Brigid said, BMs are fully capable of tanking things. I've seen a level 64 BM solo myriad and rankar while charmed. Main thing is aggro, which doesn't really matter when soloing.

    (Though if you can get a BM with a Provoke weapon, you've got a pretty good tank right there)

    Technically Rankar isn't too difficult if for a good BM. Since he's pure phys you just need to keep marrow active, **** away and the charm takes care of the rest. Fushma is easily soloable for an 8x bm on just sutra and the odd jioazi.

    Gratz to the BM but if she did it uncharmed I'd have been more impressed. =p I've actually managed to hold Qianji uncharmed for 5 minutes on pots and skill when the cleric died, and I've solo fushma uncharmed quite a few times.
