What I mean by this is why does the forum community have such a short memory span. I have started about 20-25 topics on the forums in general discus and by the 3-4 page you cant even tell what the original question is. 2 days ago I started a topic about what major special things happen at lvl 49 and by the end of my forum they are talking about why you need a clan past lvl 49 to help you with bosses? Ironicaly my brother walked into my room while I was reading my responces and he asked me "Why did u make a topic about needing a clan?" and thats why I started this topic. People tend to look at the previes post and decide to start their own conversation in another person's forum. People please use the private message tab.b:angry

Hm...I glanced at your thread in question and I didn't see anything wrong with the thread...there are a few mentions of getting a lot of bosses around level 49 but nothing highly off topic.

In fact, it ended with discussions of what kinds of skills you get at 49, which is directly related to your post. So I'm not quite sure what you're complaining about here.

No idea either, however, as a rule of thumb, anything past page 2 is no longer directly related to the topic. How far off it strays depends on how many pages it has.. the more pages, the more like it will go off topic.

One exception about this seems to be the Complaining threads, which for some wierd reason tend to stay on topic all the way.. even if they are complaining about different things....

I haven't got to use that in so long!

Anyway. Think Chinese whispers. Each person is replying to all the people above them, the conversation is almost certain to drift.

Honestly, that's how a lot of forums work... especially forums that revolve around experienced members of an interest group giving advice to newer members.

Usually, by page three of a thread, the original question has been answered. This, compounded by a couple factors, can lead to threads going off-topic. If the OP does not provide a follow-up question, the thread loses direction. If something someone says strikes another poster as incorrect, the second poster will attempt to correct the first, often leading to a long discussion on whose point is more valid, especially if both parties decide to put up a fight. The same goes for if someone says something strange or interesting; that will automatically attract attention, especially if the original post has been addressed ad nauseam.

So, yeah. Threads go off-topic. Welcome to the internet. b:victory

Yeah, they think they are some kind of tiger now. They used to think they were horses, but they stopped going clip clop.

Also they are water soluble, which is a bad thing for a fish to be.
