Need Help With Manual Patch

so i just got done downloading the "Manual Patch 192-196: Released 09/30/09"

and i opened my PWI launcher and still the pop up comes up saying, "Update?"

i need help, im not really good with this kind of stuff so please help me and tell me in details b:surrenderb:cry

P.S. this is my first time trying the manual patch so i dont know what happens after its done being loaded

    Which version are you at now? If still at the older version go manually to the folder which contains the manual patch and double click it. If it is at the newest version please try a verify from the launcher.

    the PWI launcher box thing says, Game Version:192

    i just got done loading both manual patches since i dont know which one to get

    and i cant find the patch when i hit the option manual right above the Verify
    option

    edit: i just tried finding the manual patches by just going through files in "My Computer" and i dont know where the files are hiding under

    That is the one you need. Normally while downloading the file you should have a box, depending on browser you use now, on which you can click to open the file directly afterwards. For me it automatically saves to "my files -> downloads"

    okay i downloaded that patch twice b:thanks... its just that when the downloads for the manual patches were done, they automatically disappeared from the Mozilla Firefox Downloading Box and i didnt even get a chance to click em to see where they went. also, once inside your computer files, will the manual patches have the same name?

    P.S. im sorry for being so stupid but im not really good with computers and this kind of stuff, so i really appreciate your help alot.. Thank you

    Weird I have Firefox too and my box doesn't dissapear.

    Well I have Vista and this is how I find my patch downloads.

    Start --> My folder --> Download

    In there you should be able to find the patches you have already downloaded. Just double click the 192-196 and it should automatically start up the launcher, patch the client and then ask you to restart to see if it is fully and correctly installed.

    thank you for all your help! i just cant seem to find those damn patches, my stuff is just too different i guess. i'll just upload the regular way but i know thats going to take all day b:sweat

    Try this...

    C:\Users\X\Downloads

    C:\Users\(what your user name is)\Downloads

    If you are using XP.. goto My Documents > Downloads

    It may also be directly in the My Documents folder, that is where mine go atleast.

    oh my gosh.. i just screwed up my whole PWI stuff now. I clicked on a file that was uploaded today but then, without me knowing, it actually reinstalled the whole game. so now im stuck reupdating every patch... why the hell does this happen to me when i want to try out the manual patches for the first time b:irritated

    and no i couldnt find the patches anywhere, i searched My Documents, My Documents > Downloads, Perfect World International... i just want to get this **** over with so i can at least play tonight for my TW b:angry

    P.S. thank you all for helping even in the end i screwed it up :(
