.....Training Esoterica? Seriously?

So after a month of crazy gold prices, major inflation in general to the already ****ed up economy, some important items have gotten out of hand; Charms, Guardian Scrolls, and Dragon Orbs. I'm 100% positive people at the current time would rather have a sale in one of these items rather than a useless EXP scroll. Hell we just had a double exp for 4 weekends this past month~

I disagree, actually. People have been really upset about Gold prices, and a sale on Esotericas is pretty much what people have been asking for: ie. no more sales.
The market is flooded with them because people have left-overs from Jolly Jones, plus they're not nearly as popular as they used to be thanks to other EXP options like BH or Rebirth. I've been offering them for 50k each and they haven't been selling, and that's below-cost of even the sale price.
So really, we can't have it both ways. If they put a sale on items everybody wants, Gold prices go up and everything else is more expensive. But by having no sale (or in this case, a meaningless sale), Gold prices get a chance to decline and everything else becomes less expensive.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You have two options, people. Sales on the stuff you want, and gold prices rising/staying high as a result.... or sales on things that we're already flooded with and/or don't really want/need so gold prices have a chance to lower.
Can't have it both ways and since it seems PWI has no intention of stopping the whole, "Hey, let's have a sale EVERY SINGLE WEEK!" thing, this is as close to the non-sales people have been demanding as you can get.0 -
prices went for 500k to 300k it's not THAT bad b:cute[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

So the devs are money hungry people who plan out their sales meticulously to maximize profit at the expense of players. Now it's that they don't have sales that would be wanted and boost gold prices or keep them where they are. How do they accomplish both at once? Simple.
They have a player base of many dumb ****s.
Seriously, get a grip people. As has been pointed out, they're being villified no matter what they do either way. Strange thing is, we don't see them posting in the other forums when the opposite is the main point of contention.
XP scrolls are being sold for cheap already, have been since JJ event. Orbs will be on sale eventually, but not for a while. They've increased frequency of the orbs sales, not from greed, but from maturation of characters. Before you would be lucky to get orb sales every 3 months, but no one really used them anyways. With everyone refining, we get them much more frequently than in the past. All this proves is that the threads of devs doing everything for their own profit at the expense of the players are the whiney dip ****s we always knew them to be.Fist are the worst at PvP AND PvE, if you disagree, as I said, take it to PM's or make your own guide. Go here if you want to debate about it. - Lyndura

Look, there will always be a sale each week, get use to it. But like WarrenWolfy said, they are about 80k each on "sale" with the current 300k gold prices and there are ton of them left over from JJ. This sale is harmless, quit meaningless QQ and back to QQ about genie resets. b:sad[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I don't trade gold, so gold prices don't bother me much (except for how it inflates everything around it). But I would dearly love a month or 2 without more sales, just so we can clear the kitty shops.
We have several months of goodies floating around now, and everyone and his mother has a catshop in West Arch. maybe by winter they'll run out of things to sell.
There *is* a game here, underneath the Stock Market Simulation everyone else seems to be playing...
RedMenaceA human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

It's cheaper to buy from players who have them from JJ events.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Best thing I've seen in a long while. A huge anniversary sale, crazily inflated economy, the last thing we need is more countless sales.
And so the devs have given us a single modest sale on a moderately used item. For once, I have to say thanks to pwi for making a good move b:victory0 -

1) buy them directly from the cash shop
2) sell gold in ah, use coins to buy from players
He's explaining that the second option is *still* a better deal, even with the XP scroll sale.
I like this sale a lot, it will keep gold prices down. I know people who have been waiting a month to get reset scrolls, now they can actually afford to restat. And maybe I can finally pick up some new fashion, it's been too long!0 -

And they hope people will not be able to continue grinding at normal XP rate and rush to buy those training scrolls.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Thanks Brit for the sig b:laugh0 -
I don't see what else could go on sale, really. I mean, If the devs would put my toon as a blow up doll, that would bring the awesome, and make the server perfect, but no. My cute-ness is too much for PWI....it would blow their minds.0

But Exp scrolls are available via tokens of luck....0 -

Right. Which is a good thing. This is a very, very, very innocent sale, and probably a very good idea on PW's part. This sale might actually help lower gold prices to a decent level again. *crosses fingers*0 -
I prefer no sale so gold could go back down but having an eso sale is the next best thing I guess.
Good job GMs!0 -
