How does TW bidding work??

Upon deciding which territory your guild has set it's eyes on, you must then bid for the right to fight for said territory. Speak with your local Battle Coordinator between Wednesday 7:00pm and Thursday 7:00pm (Pacific Time) to place a bid.

What I dont understand is is the bidding between Wednesday 7:00pm and Thursday 7:00pm (Pacific Time) divided up into an unshown section? b:surrender

Is there a certain day and time you have to bid to attack on a certain day and time too?
