Not that I used my genie that much anyway, but how are we all dealing with the new patches? I still have yet to rebuild my genie, and wondered how the other wizzy's were doing it.

I just use Extreme Poison. Elemental Weakness is pretty terrible, though.

Probably some mix of Elemental Weakness and Thunderstorm would be awesome, but I dunno for sure.

Extreme Poison, Earthquake, Lightning Chaser (Is this still viable), Holy Path, and Second Wind as a replacement for ToP if needed.

ToP is still ok, not as good as it was but still ok.

xD I never learned how to play with it lol. b:chuckle
so hows second wind as a healing spell?
I had ToF which turned pretty much useless for wizards/other squishy characters. (12% heal of nothing = nothing) b:cry
anyone actually check that spell out themselves? O.o

been using cloud erruption on an energy genie. as a hell mage its a dream come true for me, under ideal conditions its 100 chi per 40sec. that plus the chi from attacks, its amazing. only drawback is 6 range, and must be cast on enemy, which is why i said under ideal conditions since ur kiting bm/barbs and such alot.

Lightning Chaser (Is this still viable)
I just grabbed level one since I was going to have 5 metal anyway. I don't know if the chance increases with the skill level, but I was going roughly 50-50 for successful interrupts in a very small sample. That's with 40 dex, though, so it means the base % success chance to interrupt might be as low as 10%.

Anyone have more information on this skill?

Honestly, just pick skills that boost your own power, like Spark, which I believe reduces Fire Resistance. And since I'm a pyromaniac on my wizard... *laughs evilly* I also got Earthquake, since if mobs get around me... I want them off ASAP. I'm thinking about getting Tai Chi, for a little movement speed increase, and healing, basically a ****! Button for when I get into trouble, and my Distance Shrink is cooling down. I'm also curious about Mage Star. Anyone used this yet? Does it actually do what it says in the description?

ya me in the same situation. o.o' holy path still good for escaping and such but still need some sort of healing skill. (worst part is I only had ToP for 3 days before the patch!!) b:sad

Thats right! your using your genie incorrectly! Extreme Poison (the duration is much shorter then it was pre-patch but shoot it off like half a second before your spell hits and pow!)
I'm not really sure about the stun off skill O.o' haven't seen it yet.
    xD
I'll just stick to extreme poison, holy path, ??, and 1 protection skill I have yet to find.

also lol I call mine fuzz the slightly useless genie. (she replaced fuzzball the useless genie)

Mage star is still pretty good. It does heal abit an ya still get abit of mana back, its still kills clerics buffs though. Handy for killing a few magic mobs with dragons breath an taking little damage.

I still get quite a bit of use out of my genie...

Holy Path - run from bigger things, run after smaller things.
Tree of Protection - still works fine
Extreme Poison - dont use it much though i like it
    Fortify - No Stun-lock = dead BM/Barb ;p

I use... Extreme Poison, Holy Path, Badge of Courage, and Celestial Sword.

    To Explain why..

Extreme Poison: Obvious, who doesn't enjoy and extra 20% damage? espcially as the hardest hitting class in the game :P

Holy Path: Lets face it wizards aren't the fastest characters in the game..

Badge of Courage: (Get outta Jail Free Card) Most of the time wizrads are kiting BM's and Barbs however there is that odd time you find yourself in a stun effect.. (especially those bm stun locks) BoC removes the stun effect from yourself so you can DS away from danger and continue blasting away the heavy.. PS. works against archers and Veno stuns too :P

Celestial Sword: For my fun and enjoyment :P haha think a Cleric always owns a wizard hit them with this skill with stregnth in your genie b:victory

Anyways those are the skills i have you may or may not find them useful.. they work for my playstyle :)
