Hailstorm, What is it AOE size?
I have it and tryed to use it from time to time but it seems like it's aoe so SMALL. they have to be standing on top of each other to get it to work.
So is it worth lvling up? or just forget about it. I just wish it would tell you the AOE on it.

I personally dont have it leveled yet (although its one of the next things on my list) but I hear its pretty good for rebirth and TW. The range/dmg isn't amazing, but an aoe that requires no chi and has a chance to freeze could be useful :) I'd wait for a bit to level it, maybe just before u start rebirth :P

the aoe isn't very amazing, nor the damage. my one and only use is for the paralyze effect, which has its uses in pk and tw. or vs elite mobs, w/e. at low levels it isn't worth leveling. save it for 70-80+

I use it in TW / while AoEing mobs after I use dragon, simply because I'm frenzied, it's AoE, and if my dragon crit buff procs it still does a decent amount of damage.

This is one of the spells that depends on you. Freeze is good but only a 33% chance. I prefer to use it as a cheap AoE since it has a decent size when leveled. But it also lacks any damage beyond base magic so using it for damage against a single target is a rather stupid idea.

The amount of damage is not that awesome. Do around a little more than Gush. The AOE goes around 8.5m-9m at level 10, i tried to hace an idea on mobs. I have the Demon Hailstorm....very good to freeze, average damage and AOE mobs, TW.
Note: that skill don't need chi to be cast, that's very good. Also that chan and casting time very short 2 sec...
i recommend to have it starting elvel 60-70 and to max it at 89+, or before that if you are TW player...
Hope that gives you a good idea.

they bash hailstorm alot, but I think its worth it, its distance AOE... maybe not that hard in hit but you hit more then one, so it hits harder point for point when used good

ehh me not bashing it. It's very situational. But the no chi cost is nice although the freeze rate isn't really good. so it is a nice finisher if the other aoe skills couldn't finish the mobs off.

Still not really worth it at low levels. X_x'

Hailstorm is one of my core pvp skills. Hailstorm > freeze > sutra. I rarely use sutra in pvp unless i have them stunned or frozen. Without hailstorm i would never use sutra.
Sins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.
Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze
