Worst thing that gives PWI a bad reputation..

Hello everyone, I would like to say something to the staff of PWI, Actually, the game is pretty good, swimming..flying..walking..running, mounts pet's, skills, diffrent character type's, everything is pretty going good, I just did 30$ with paypal in the game, I bought a mount for 30$, it works great, but I just wana suggest something when riding the mount i look pretty bad i'm standing on the mount, what u expect, If a guy youtubed pwi about mounts and saw people stand on the mounts while flying it looks pretty pretty bad, you should make it sit on the mount it will look way much better and realistic, please do not ignore this suggestion and think about it, this will really be something good for the future of PWI, riding on the tiger's of barbarian's looks pretty good you see, just what's left to attract more customers is to make players be able to sit on the mounts, really it will be alot a lot better, I dont really care if you dont do this or you find it a waste of time, but actually its not a waste of time, here take a look at this picture everyone..



Imagine sitting on it, would it be more realistic and better?

That might work for some of the untamed flying mounts, like the griffin, but most of them would be kinda hard to sit on. Imagine trying to sit on a sky manta, or a giant swan. How would that work out? It's be too hard on the devs to try and make a different riding animation for each of the untamed flying mounts. In fact, most of the mounts are designed in such a way that it makes more sense to stand on, not sit on. Just take a look at what everyone else is flying on, then rethink your position on this.

And, just so you know, the fact that Untamed players stand on their mounts is not what's giving PWI a bad rep these days.

I agree. if it was real life a person would go flying off it in seconds. it should be more realistic to have them SIT on mounts that would obviously be stupid or impossible realistically to stand on

@Lairian: sitting doesn't necessarily involve sitting like you do on a horse. People could sit cross-legged on the manta...or sit the way they do when they meditate or the 'sit' command. it would be EASY to change this

The only problem I can see with this is switching from sit mode to combat mode while flying in fact...flying monsters is probably the one reason they can't make people sit while flying...

OP, your post title is very misleading.

The standing doesn't look that bad and it is unlikely to be changed due to the amount of recoding required. Besides people that like it the way it is will end up complaining.

You should have looked at other players riding the Gryphon before you bought it.

I recently bought one and immediately went back to my old maxed speed Manta.

All the wing flapping and flames on the Gryphon is nice to show off for a bit but it gets tedious and distracting after a short while.

I was just going to say that, I just discovered that people can fight flying monsters while standing on the griffin or other's, while riding there should be a combat and protection mode, protection mode will be just for flying/travelling, combat ofcorse will be for combat mode, and I dont think NO one will complain for having it able to sit, and hell yes, if they complain they still can STAND on it as i said combat and safe mode's , on other types of flying monsters they can sit cross-legged it would be really alot more better than just transform to a lion and riding on the manta >LOL< or even standing on it, so this really is a good idea, i dont feel the game alot when im standing on the monster to be honest, i was like "this game rox" but there is bad stuff that really needs to be fixed in it, I got alot of ideas to say, i will say them all, but I just want this idea to get approved so I can really work out and get good ideas, and more..

You seem relatively low level and if you complain this early about a minor cosmetic issue you will probably have a serious problem later in the game.

There are many other graphical issues that could be improved. They all cost PWE time and money the question is where is it best spent.

I for one would like to see less recycling of character models especially for Bosses. ie. Silver Frost is a Khatru Pup. In fact almost every Boss after about level 50 is simply another NPC resized and recolored.

If it's bad as you say then they should start working on this stuff then I suppose, and as you said I'm a low level and detected that and alot more, how about being a high level? No I am not saying the game is bad. I am just managing your expectations.

In many ways PWI is great. The first time I played it I thought the graphics were amazing especially for a F2P game. Even now I still hear newbies chat about how cool it looks.

However, I have played long enough to know that there are many other things that are arguably much more important to fix/improve first.

That being said, this is a suggestion area and you are entitled to your opinion.

Okay i shall state my mind about the issues as well(and this is for the good cause instead of mindless flaunting and flaming).
First of all note to all ppl who request the sit emote on fly mounts(yes it might look cool or aesthetic but you should have in mind that from technical side its rather expensive and big job to do(which i think it would require very long
maintenance)),and as Viper said there are more things that takes priority instead of small details like sit or stand(imo i don't pay much attention to such details as long as i enjoy the game)and i agree with Viper that there should be a whole lot new variety of bosses(just to avoid too big situation of seeing lot of lookalikes)tho yet again even this might make bit of extra time and effort so i guess i could bare with this detail as well(as long as other things work well and dandy),but instead of sit command/emote or whichever you should pay more attention to other more important aspects of the game(like any possible graphic glitch or so).
And for the final a small word of defense for hardworking GM's,mod's and PWI staff is i dunno if you guys noticed but as long as i been playing this game i never saw a gold spamer overrunning any kind of chats(am excluding usual WC and general chat trolls) and that there are almost none of bots in game(i did saw one or two bots in game but GM's done a good job and intervened with haste and efficiency)so instead of saying that thing like a mere sit emote is making PWI a bad reputation please consider this "small" fact and give some appreciation to them.
As for the rest of issues well i sincerely hoping some of them(that really do affect game play) shall be fixed in the future.
P.S sorry for the long "wall" just had to state few things of my own :P.

Obviously the OPS problem stems from being a Veno who is not a Fox Veno like me. As a Fox Veno I look good standing on air mounts because of my lower center of gravity and four legged stance. I make Sky Mantas look gooood heehee.

Honestly though, it does look a biiit odd for the Gryph and Drake. They could have you fight on it like a Knight would on a horse.

However, Surf Swords are FTW! You should never sit down on those things.


If we are going to really fix Graphical problems though can we Pullleeeaase fix Pets so that they use CLOSE/GOOD GRAPHICS models instead of FAR/BAD GRAPHICS models?

erm you know that it could look kinda strange to sit on sword...especially that some have fire(Nakir Judgement), lightnings (Urim Light) on it, this would destroy your **** in secs, not really realistic

If our chars can balance on a skinny fly sword, and plummit 78 metres to the ground without so much as a scratch.... surely standing on the back of a beast is a cake walk. b:pleased

More to the point, sitting doesnt work because,
- Attacking mobs, you can't attack sitting down that's just fail.
- The work around would to be to switch to a standing/sitting position inbetween attacks, what happens when mobs kite you? also this would present disadvantaged to untamed classes as extra time need to switch poses for aesthetic purposes. fail.
- Fox/Tiger form can't sit on mounts they need to be in human form to ride them.
- These are aerocraft intended for battle if you will, so you stand and fight.
Ever read Eragon? b:chuckle a real dragon rider can fight from any position of the beast even it's tail b:victory
hence standing on a beast represents true pwnage mastery of the untamed race and it's most prized aerocrafts b:cool

interesting idea. but the protection / fight thing would just get in the way in my opinion. And yes the flying mounts like the drake, gripphon etc take getting used to. How do you think it is fighting on a giant bee? XD Fact is, if you get a cash shop mount you get it for 1-2 things. 1 is looks. We all like to show off, weather it be a mount or fashion. 2 is speed. No one like taking 5 minutes to fly across arch. If you wanna look nice and go faster, you suck it up and get used to it or go back to something smaller and up grade it if you can.

Another thing is, yes riding on it would be nice, would be interesting and would look more real. But not very pratical and all the standing and sitting if you get attacked when flying too low would drive me nuts. Beside what about the embrace option? They would have to fix that too less you're gunna ride in the persons lap or sit on em. Nice idea but not one I see the PWI staff picking to work on.

<.< To me it looks odd and wrong... What if the barbs back end goes down as the mount comes up? b:shocked Depending what you do, being off time does happen.

It would be great if u can do all the emotions while in tiger form like sit and defence etc. And i would love this game if it has relation ship lvls between other players like if u have a relation ship lvl 1 then u get certain skills like teleporting to your partner. Thats pretty much every thing i personnally think this game is really good considering the fact that it is a f2p . Thumbs up for all the perfect world lovers.b:laugh
