EXP Gaining with Genie has been changed so that Genies can now gain EXP while you kill monsters or hand in quests. Each Genie, while equipped, will gain 10% of the total XP gained. This is in addition to the EXP your character gains (Your character will not gain 10% less EXP). When your Genie reaches the same level as your character, and the Genie reaches 99% of its current level, the 10% EXP gain will be disabled. The old method of infusing EXP or Spirit, or the EXP cubes still remain.

OK....Now, having said that, I have a question.

In testing the EXP, which it did work, I noticed something that I am not sure if it is supposed to happen or if it is just a few people who have tried it with me.

Using Crazy Stone (simple) --> You have your Genie equipped, turn the daily in and YEAH exp for you and your Genie. Now, IF you decide to take your Genie OFF (unequip) for whatever reason, say to learn a skill ----> ALL the EXP you just gained = gone b:surrender

This was even tested on mobs and I am curious about it. Meaning, if we have more then one Genie, you are basically expected not to "level" your Genie with EXP? Or is it that once you get the Genie to level and the EXP clears for the next, then you can unequip w/o having to worry about EXP loss?

Not sure if this is a "bug"/"glitch" or if this was the intended way to do things since now people have more Slot options and should maybe only need one Genie. I am not sure....

    I tried the same .

    Seems more like a bug.

    So once the exp is infused and the genie de-equipped .Your genie is at 0 at the current level.

    I think the best way to avoid this is to collect up all the exp ,then level your genie 1 whole or 2 whole levels at 1 time.

    So that way you infuse just enough exp into the genie for it to level up and then keep the rest exp as long as you like till you think that the exp is enough for the genie to get its next level.

    It's a bug maybe ,but I don't think anything is going to happen of it.

    Well, glad it is just not a few of us who were testing it last night.

    Kinda odd though and I feel kinda sorry for the people who may not have realized this (as of yet) and grind away, then unequip >.<

    I guess we will have to wait and see. Just glad I caught it now and glad I use this Genie (although rarely) about 97% of the time.

    I noticed this too but it appears to be a graphical bug. Try infusing a tiny bit more XP and the bar the shoot up to the expected value.

    I'm not sure whether or not the Genie gaining EXP from a quest is a bug, or the fact that it loses the EXP upon being de-equipped. You can be sure that we'll relay this issue to the development team and have an official response for you guys ASAP.

    Again my testing showed it to be a graphical bug. The XP is still there but is not being displayed properly (try infusing more xp to see).

    Does it only show up correctly if you infuse your *exp* or too when you use spirit? .__.

    I did not test with infusing.

    This was more the "10%" you get for your Genie from questing and killing mobs.

    And I would NVR infuse my exp...only spirit b:surrender

    As I stated in another thread the exp gained for your genie through killing and quests is scaled just as if you were infusing your own exp, so the larger the difference between your level and your genie's level the less you get to a minimum of 1% of what you earn (10% of 10% is 1%) As for graphical errors, I haven't experienced one yet, but then again I rarely take off my genie.

    @ SultryShade: I saw that thread, but this is slightly different. In all honesty the rate (%) of EXP I am getting is not all that great of a concern to me. Especially since I have tons of SP. But it is the EXP "disappearing" once unequipped -.-

    Restated a 90+ Genie and with some skills changed, I am not doing it in one shot. Besides, I have only been in game like an hr or so (right after maintenance) and have not had the time to decide if I like the skills I initially changed.

    Some people like to test and change before deciding on final skills.

    And the affinity and # of skills b:surrender b:chuckle Pain but going over some of the skills now at work....conference calls FTW

    I dunno, my genie went from 5k exp this morning to 250k exp now.. it was at 267k at some point. It did lose some exp when unequipped, but it doesn't lose everything. If I re-equip now it stays at 250k. Not sure what triggers the loss of exp, or whether it only applies to certain quests etc.
    Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

    Are there certain "instances" that causes the loss, events, quests, mobs, dailies.....etc.
