how to upload an aminated siggy?

i have a animated siggy that i want to upload, but i dont know what format it should be in. i tried a SWF file but that didnt work b:surrender

    i don't know what the entire range of formats that this forum will accept, but i use either GIF for animation, or PNG for static images...

    here's the size restrictions:
    Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 195.3 KB (whichever is smaller).
