Fist/Sword bm?

I've been debating for a while about what weapons to use. And, I thought of Fist/Sword bms, leaving enough str for the best armor. I will mostly be pvping, 1v1(don't say pvp is never 1v1) I just want to know if fist/sword combo is good.

    Where's my BM expert when I need him...? Fist/Sword BMs have higher dex = more frequent crits but you're pulling up a little shorter on the str side. I don't know how much you've put into vit because that will factor into your damage/survivabilty. All of that aside... My BM expert uses all the weapons that a BM can and has most of the skills maxed out or close to it. =3 I have noticed that when he's trying not to attract agro he uses Fists (and then we crack jokes), but sometimes he still gets the agro. But like I said, said friend uses all of the weapons, so I'm guessing his str is higher than yours. :s That probably doesn't help you much, sorry. My BM only made it to L40 before I stopped playing her and concentrated on my Veno.

    using only fist/swords is the same as a fist bm in stats:(per 2 lvls)
    str-5
    dex-4
    extra-1

    u wear heavy armor (duh =P), u can use spear/sword/fist. tbh, i never found much of a use for swords other than its ult skill, so to me it looks more like spear/fist as spear can do almost everything swords, can just a bit better, but u might see it differently.

    as for the extra point, u can put it into vit for survivability or in dex for more crit, eva, and acc; or into str for more dmg, and to be able to use axes ur lvl. it's all about ur play style. hope this hlp'd

    I like being able to keep aggro, and hitting more DPS, I know after 70, fist are good for DPS, I'm an axe bm now, and they mainly aoe train. After I have the stats for hh70 swords and fist, I can still have enough strength for at least the lvl 52 mold hammers, so I can still use flame and stuff.

    or, u can use the all weapon build, the only difference is instead of putting .5 into vit ever lvl u put it into str so u can wear axes of ur lvl:
    str-3
    dex-2

    but u'll need hp shards and refines to keep ur hp up

    Sword & Fists work wonderfully together. Also, contrary to a lot of what I read here, Dex really does help a lot. I have a 12% crit rate (3% of which is from gear) and I use swords as my primary weapon. I use fists as a secondary. Extra strength points from my gear allow me to use any of the weapons at my level.

    My vit is a little low but sharding can make up for that.
    I can't even begin to tell you how often Barbs and fellow BM's miss me (Watching Dragons miss is hilarious). Additionally, I don't often miss archers. It's very nice.

    Lyndura points out that Misty's give people an extra 100% accuracy after 7x, and that all that dex becomes worthless. I however have not experienced that problem.
    Will of Bodhisatva equals that back out again, and few of my battles last longer than 15 seconds (having a good genie helps that).

    To the previous poster, who said Poles/Spears can do everything swords can but a bit better:
    Axe and Pole BMs have higher strength and their weapons have somewhat higher max damage. All of the sword BM skills however outdamage those two easily. Myriad infact puts out about double the damage that Dragons does.

    Dragons is great in a situation where you have a team with you and you are increasing the damage of all your squad mates. Myriad was made for solo'ing.

    Now enough about just swords, how you combo the two is to fight with fists to build chi, cancel casters, and increase your attack speed. You rotate to Swords to release that chi for maximum damage, or to use take advantage of the increased attack speed with your stronger weapon.
