What do I do with these? Add to weapons? If so how the hell do I do that o.o

I tried to add it via blacksmith to my wand but said no available sockets. But I tried to purify and said there was nothing to remove

    when you get a weapon it'll say "# sockets" thats how many shards you can put into it and to do this i believe it's the "imbue soulgem" try that and see if it works
