My title says it all.
I started my Veno not really knowing that some of these lower level pets would eventually become stronger.

Now i'm 48 and up a creek so to speak.

Is it possible to level low level pets easily?
Or would it not be worth it for me?

Any advice would greatly help. Thx Venos!

pets level extremely quickly. I get about 75% of my xp from quests, and my pet is always ready to level before I am. I would say just pump a few of the +100 loyalty oils in your pet at first so it gets max xp per kill, then grind on stuff a little higher than it until you're satisfied. keep in mind low level pets have lower skill levels so unless youre going to invest in upgrading their skills it might not be worth your while anyways.

I leveled a lv2 starter while in my 70s. It was profitable, and I could use AoE 1 hit kills on groups of mobs to level ~30, then 2 hit kills with Aoe to ~50? -can't remember.

For grinding, if you wait one more level you can get a Lunar Lupin with lv.5 Howl. Only pet below that that I would recommend is an Eldergoth Marksman (41) or Sharpshooter (46).

It is really really easy to level up a pet to within maybe ten levels of you, just by killing off stuff that you can one and two-shot. Just re-run the newbie areas, skipping any bits that annoyed you.

After that point, it's pretty annoying. The best option, probably is to just run your normal quests for your level and put up with a slightly weaker pet.

There's also room 4 in the cube, for ground pets. Which is dull as ditch-water.

At your level I was mostly using... A crystallinge magmite, a snakevalley wolfkin, a pinnar foxwing, an eldergolth and a shadou cub.

Take your low level pet, go to West Arch and just one or two shot Rhinos until you get the pet up to 20 or so. Then head to Hidden Orchid and one or two shot Torgin Primes. That'll get you up to 35 or so. Then head north of Swiftwind Camp and 2 to 3 shot Mastiffs of Great Divide and/or the other wolf in the area (level 42/43). That'll bring your pet up to around 43 or so. After that, I don't really know since I'm at 45 myself, lol.

The key to leveling your low level pet fast is high kill speed of the highest level monster your pet can tank a hit or two. The faster you can kill the monster, the faster your pet gains exp and levels.

I would recommend going to room 4 of the cube. Im sure theres some guides around that will explain how best to do this.
Also you only need 1 pet. A magmite. Forget about rare pets. A petite sawfly might also be worth levelling up, but you cant do that in room 4. Air mobs are worth more to grind on.

For water just tame something when its needed.

Get a hercules when/if you can afford it. Ignore 75% of what is posted on this forum.

Personally I hit up cube of fate room 4 "mice bashing" if i need to level pets. You dont get drops but everything dies in one hit and you can still aoe kill. It's faster more efficient time wise, than killing low lvl mobs, means you can get back to grinding mobs your lvl faster. Your pets will level insanely fast here. I used it to lvl my eldergoth and tabby I think it was a few hours to lvl my tabby 37lvls or more to lvl 70. As opposed to a few hours for a few lvls.
Choice pets, I'd recommend magmite caught up in the human northern territories, i.e. Volcanic magmite outside human fb cave (lvl 17 comes with bash, sandblow and tough). And second I would go with eldergoth sharpshooter (lvl 5 bash and roar) These can be found south west of sundown town and are lvl 46 it think. They are a ranged attack pet, best out there in the ways of pulling and great for AOE bosses that might otherwise get you killed if you were using another non ranged pet.

I usually go to a place that is 10 lvls higher than the pet and lvl it.I move on to other locations as well to level it some more.My heal pet is lvl 5 btw.
Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.
