Whining heroes are so sickening

Most every other thread here is whining about this and whining about that (name it: anni event, gold price, PWI economy, TT drops, BH drops, fashion, etc etc) and the same goes for general ingame world chat.

What's wrong with you peeps? Why don't you admit you never had it so good since PW became international, hey? Or are you just whining so that the rest of us who enjoy the game and events will be so depressed with your general attitude that we will quit PWI altogether? Hey, does that mean that you are trolls from other games trying to lure us away from PWI??? If not, that's what it really looks like, so in the future, I'd be wary before complaining lest you'd be viewed as useless flaming trolls.

I've been here 10 months and I've had good times and rough times, the game is intelligent and addresses intelligent gamers. If you can't cope with it, no one is responsible.

Many of you refuse to make any effort, wanting everything for free (or for real money) so you'll look better than your guildmates. Some of you have no qualms about KS'ing other people or stealing molds from them but when the same happens to you, you cry like offended virgins that PWI is not worthed, blaming everyone else for your weaknesses, even going as far as threatening class suits against PWI if you don't get your way with them.

And I won't mention the fashion claims. I've never seen anything so ridiculous in an MMORPG game than people crying for more fashion in the boutique and yet, PWI accommodates your every whim and then you whine because you have to pay for it. Haha..!

So, I just want to suggest before any other QQ thread is started that you think seriously about it because, in the end, whiners are the real ones that are killing the game, in forum but mostly in the ingame World Chat. Also, next time you whine about PWI economy, think about how you can make it better and quit whining.

Well on other forums I have had the option to add or subtract reputation from members using little icons based on the quality of their post, with the option to include a reason (anonymous or not). It is a fun thing for people who spend all day on the forums, and causes people to police themselves in a sense. The total of the points is kept near the Forum Avatar, near the post count. So if you see someone with -100 points you're much more likely to know he's just a troll, and to not take him seriously. Although the system does have the drawback that people like to abuse it.

Some of the complaining is over the top and truly unhelpful but realize the complaints are not just whines.

People complain because they see things happening that are truly wrong and it frustrates them. It is their way of saying "I do not want to give up on you. I want to stay your loyal customer but right now you are making it VERY hard for me to do that. Please, help me by fixing this problem!" Some people complain all the time but others do it rarely and right now with this many people up in arms it should be a serious wake up call to the PWI staff.

This is a great game and it is BECAUSE it is a great game that people are so hot right now. They see what is an awesome game getting watered down and having its core principles, that make it great, betrayed. They will claim to know why PWI does what it does but face it, none of us really know their motivations. They seem to generally want to keep their customers and help us out but lately they have been missing with every other swing.

I still have no intention of leaving PW yet but I have to say even my resolve is starting to wear thin with things like lowering Elite Instance drops...I do not like doing those to begin with but if they have lowered the drop rates I cannot IMAGINE why I would EVER go waste all my time and coin to complete a TT or later a Frostland quest. If all the end game content is essentially pushed away by their actions I will not have much left to do in short order which would be pretty sad.

I sincerely hope that PWI as a whole hears its customers on these issues and really backs up and takes a good hard look at what is going on and tries to put an honest fix into place. They would not be complaining if it was too late, they are trying to hang on but it is obvious that if PWI keeps going down this path even the most loyal are going to slip through the forming cracks.

Yarrr me matey, the problem is that I'm one of the whiners the OP was talking about (Coming round full circle xD), so if I post a suggestion it will likely be about improving the game itself, buried of course, under a mountain of sarcasm.

Its not whining. The OP probably spends alot of money on the game. Most of the threads are just threads about how greedy the PW devs are. Most of them make us think←what PWI does not want. So they limit all the discussions to one thread where people just yell at each other.

Some people complain all the time but others do it rarely and right now with this many people up in arms it should be a serious wake up call to the PWI staff.

About what? Did you ever see another MMORPG company who took their players so seriously? Really... most of them just don't bother with anyone's complaint and in fact, make it a lot worse for their regular customers.

At least, PWI is addressing issues, replying to tickets and in general, tries to give the best service there is on an F2P game community and even surpasses those P2P ones.

What wake-up call? PWI gave us a game and it's for all of us to make it fun or not. I agree that constructive criticism will take it to new heights, that was not what I was targetting, but rather the non-stop whining of players who can find nothing to correct their miserable failures. They hold PWI responsible for everything they fail at, starting and including their fail at getting a Perfect Luck Anni pack, threatening class-suits and other ridiculous tantrums every time they fail at something.

This is a great game and it is BECAUSE it is a great game that people are so hot right now. Why do you think it has it been watered down? Because of whiners, who thought everything was unfair for whatever obscure reasons of their own.

Just consider this... with all the claims going on -- including your own -- whatever PWI does, it won't be humanely able to accommodate everyone, so either we put up or we leave. As for myself, I don't intend to leave and I strongly believe that being flexible will be rewarding in the end.

Obstinate whiners aside, I think the main concern is those of use who enjoy the FREE game are finding it hard to play. Some of the basics of the game (angels, charms, dragon orbs) are becoming too expensive to sustain with pure in-game coin. While many people do not express this concern in a constructive way and choose instead come off as whining, it is still not quite fair for you to write off their problems as being insignificant.

Its called being "critical", which is a state less extreme than "hypocritical" (Referring to the OP's* whiny post about the whiners).

Definition 1 for "critical" is very different from Definition 2. And calling a state something does not necessarily mean... well...

Do you really think her first post was whiny? She did not seem resentful to me. Nor did she seem to be overly dramatic or petulant. Nor has she been harping on this issue day after day.

I guess I will just have to wonder...

I think I agree with you, here. Sort of, anyways.

But there are a lot of reasons for the prices, and this has been building up for some time now. This game gives people coins just for playing, and some people have been playing for a long time.

For example... coin chests mean a few hours of play plus a few dollars gives you a million coins. But if you can earn coin chests you can get a million coins in a relatively short time without needing any coin chests. So how can coin chests really be the problem here?

But the original poster was calling for constructive suggestions. I do not think she was trying dismiss anyone's problems.

Yes, I have. I won't be advertising other MMORPGs on these forums though. I am also sure that Spoons and Co. would take exception to being told that they don't care about player's suggestions. They certainly take a lot of time to try to show that they do.
At least, PWI is addressing issues, replying to tickets and in general, tries to give the best service there is on an F2P game community and even surpasses those P2P ones.

Maybe, but it is of course still up for debate.
What wake-up call? PWI gave us a game and it's for all of us to make it fun or not.

I would disagree. There are many common sense rules to designing good games and making additions to them (Keeping some Balance/Fairness is an obvious one that this game recently threw out the window IMO). If this was Dungeons and Dragons (The Paper Kind), the DM would have a good deal of power over whether or not the game is fun or not, and the GMs/Devs here have that same power.
I agree that constructive criticism will take it to new heights, that was not what I was targeting, but rather the non-stop whining of players who can find nothing to correct their miserable failures. They hold PWI responsible for everything they fail at, starting and including their fail at getting a Perfect Luck Anni pack, threatening class-suits and other ridiculous tantrums every time they fail at something.

Somehow I didn't interpret it that way from your original post:

"Most every other thread here is whining about this and whining about that (Name it: Anni Event, Gold Price, PWI Economy, TT Drops, BH Drops, Fashion, etc., etc.) and the same goes for general in game world chat.

What's wrong with you peeps? Why don't you admit you never had it so good since PW became international, hey? I am unfortunately not wary about complaining, nor will I ever be, and I still voice myself over Anni. Event, Gold Prices, and the Economy. If you think my individual claims are exaggerated, then so be it, but that still doesn't relegate me to being a Troll (Except when I am :3).
In other words, what you are implying is that these whiners think they know better than PWI Dev's themselves. Just like the frog who wanted to get bigger than the ox...

I'd prefer to say that the customer is always right instead. But that is because I find little distinction between whiner and customer/player.
Why do you think it has it been watered down? Because of whiners, who though everything was unfair for whatever obscure reasons of their own.

What do you base this on? I don't follow your logic.
Just consider this... with all the claims going on -- including your own -- whatever PWI does, it won't be humanely able to accommodate everyone, so either we put up or we leave. As for myself, I don't intend to leave and I strongly believe that being flexible will be rewarding in the end.

Maybe so, but maybe they should be a little more accommodating ~_~ than to more than just to the 20 (+ or - 10,000) Cash Shoppers that will bother to stay (Their true customer base, whose satisfaction is imperative). Player's dissatisfaction is not a phantom, the complaint threads are there for a reason, and one that, for this game, may become a problem for those who stay.

How about the definition for pedantic?

I was just playing with the words, and you know it (Hence why I put them in quotes).

And the reason I chose the word whiny is because the OP did. I could by the same logic state that in my opinion none of the posts the poster is complaining about were whiny, certainly I didn't hear any "screeches".

I find it weird that you should quote/reply to a message that was not addressed to you in the first place. It is a total lack of respect for the original responder.

Before I reply to you, I'll wait for the original poster's reply. I'm sure you understand.

Why post on public forums then? *(More to the point isn't it also rude to try ignore the other people on the forums, and not assuming they are also the targets of your comments [which I felt targeted me as well]? o_O)

    How about ...

How about you reply to me directly instead of going around in circles, picking on everyone else's reply to try to make a point that isn't there in the first place?
