Gathering resources

I was wondering, can I ever gather more than 3 of something ? I usually only get 3 with herbs though, it seems to work different with the other resources.. But it's getting tiresome lol.
Few people makes mistakes with fire after being once burned, of people who regard water lightly many have been drowned.

    For herbs the max harvest amount is 3. For other materials like iron, sandstone, etc, you can get up to 2. It's kind of rare for that to happen, though.
