Once you hit 60 it's going to be a pain in the ****.
Go level up alacrity of the beast right now before you regret it.
Almost every mob 60+ is going to be magic, and tiger form is going to be your friend.

They don't make good money because every other class can kill things significantly quicker.

Remember no matter how you put it, Barbs weren't meant for dealing damage, they're meant for taking it.

It gets much, much, better. By 75 you will make 3x the amount you make now....if you're lazy. If you like grinding, the money will just roll in. keep working on your AoE skills.

I've seen a barb pull insane mobs at once at nightscream. That guy was raking in some dough.

77 is as far as I can tell you. I hope more experienced players give their opinions. I would like to hear them too.

I'm assuming those are physical mobs then?
I'm just hating this level range right now. Everything uses magic damn it.

yes you are correct. he would die so quick otherwise b:sad. Although I agree with your advice wholeheartedly, I dont think OP is inclined to use tiger form. And thats ok.

Here are some suggestions for the barbs that like grinding

There is the lvl60 crustan scout just south of dreamweaver. pure physical. Barbs can start killing these at 54. water mob 1.5x exp. I killed these until 68 I think.

Then night scream has alot physical mobs. Zhen locations like thieves and Spiders too. if you have AoE these are probably better.

Then the clam scout at lvl76 is very good. Barbs can start killing this guy at 70. water mob 1.5x exp

I found lv40 and lvl60 so far as being the hardest ones. I just felt so...underpowered. @ 70 everything just started dying so easy, its like if the mobs didnt get any harder, just more hp.

idk this is just what I have noticed, your milage may vary, others might have better suggestions.

As of now, I love magic mobs. Rofl.

    1] Easier to hit.
    2] Weaker physical attack.
3] Can just cancel their channeling
    4] Fun!

Yea, Tiger Form will be your main form throughout these levels. Level your Alacrity to 7 and keep Sunder High.

I've levelled Alacrity to lvl7, and I've been using it every time I have to face magic mobs. But it just doesn't seem effective to me to be honest. Sure, I can cancel their opening skill. But it eats so much MP (imo) and then the mobs just kite me and start channeling again. So either I run away from them to lure the mob back to me, and away from the other mobs -so I end up taking a hit-, or I just run after them and aggro a handful of them -in turn taking many hits.

Not to mention THE most annoying mob I've fought so far have to be the Shrunchkin Warlocks b:surrender Magic, kiting, and spells that drain MP... I just meleed them to avoid too much pot costs.

Oh yea. The magics mobs around Tusk Town are known for doing that. They are extremely annoying, namely the Trioc Lords.

For those magic mobs, you can also use Human form, stun them with Mighty Swing, hit them hard, and Beastial Onslaught when they try to run.

Also, Alacrity has a 50% of freezing, so it really shouldn't be too bad. After level 60+, the magic mobs will just go into melee rather than running away after you cancel their attack, and will start channeling again right when alacrity cools down.

Indeed, barbs are awesome. I made one because I was getting pissed with all the crappy barbs I had to deal with as a cleric. I still like playing as a cleric because of the awesome solo-ness and damage. But when I re rolled as a barb I was surprised as well, it was easier to level than I thought. And I love the massive HP and whatnot. Fits my style of play - "the best offense is a good defense"

Despite my advice to you, I got fed up with tiger form and don't use it against magic mobs anymore >.>
What I do is use mighty swing, hope it stuns so that they don't cast their initial attack, and then I kill them off before they can try to cast another attack. And if they run, Beastial Onslaught is usually enough to kill them.
Then if I'm low on HP, back to tiger form for a quick second to use Sunder... and problem solved :P
